Nice impressions here. And don't worry, there is more to come!

Who will I be seeing at #GDC this year? #GDC2026 #VR #XR

Saw a 12-year-old get his first Xbox yesterday. Helping him set it up, he asked, "What games can I download for it?" "There's 1000s of games you can download on Xbox!" "Yeah, but what FREE games?" This is where the industry is right now. This is why VR devs are struggling.

Happy New Year #XR community! Whether you've been here for a decade or just got your first headset, XR is a welcoming place for all!

Already making plans for #GDC 2026. Hoping it'll be a good one for VR! Who's in?

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 18/12/2025

What's everyone's most underrated #VR game of 2025? I feel like there were a bunch of true gems that slipped by largely unnoticed.

Some of the strongest campaigns I saw this year focused on just one mechanic. Sometimes drilling down to a single 'this is what makes my game cool' can work.

In case you didn't see on any of the other platforms, @131xr.bsky.social is now an official YouTube partner! My side-project has legs, and I couldn't be happier with its progress.

I feel like the #VR market is steadier than people think. Yes, free-to-play is dominating right now and not every new release is going to make it to the big time, but there's plenty of devs out there that are finding ways to remain stable.

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 10/12/2025

Tomorrow looks like madness on the #VR game release schedule. I count 11 games currently, and I'm sure there's some I missed. In more than a decade of working in VR, I don't think I've ever seen a day like this.

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 09/12/2025

The Boys: Trigger Warning is getting loads of coverage, which is great to see. But sadly a large part of the commentary from gamers is "shame it's VR". :/

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

I've been looking into the changes coming at #GDC2026 and, honestly, I'm struggling to see anything different except it being referred to as a 'festival'. What am I missing?

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 22/10/2025

It's great to see the #GalaxyXR getting strong support from devs at launch, but honestly that game line-up was so predictable.

The #MetaConnect leaks aren't really surprising to me. What is surprising is the amount of negativity towards them that I've been seeing. To me, AR and VR have always been two sides of the same coin. Eventually they will converge, but right now it's AR's time for growth.

The big release of the week, Zombie Army VR, has been delayed for both Meta Quest and PSVR 2, moving from 22nd May to 12th June. The Steam date has yet to change, but will likely follow suit.

So the two best (non-VR) games I've played so far this year have been a remastered version of a 19 year-old game, and a game heavily inspired by that same 19 year-old game. Is it just me, or is there a lesson here?

OK, now this is cool. Petey Piranha webcam for #Switch2.

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 04/04/2025

I was worried this was going to end up like Wii Play, around £30. But for five bucks, I won't argue.

010

LLKevJ @llkevj.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

Big rumours of the #OblivionRemake circulating. Suggested to launch this or next week. Could we see it for #Switch2 in today's #NintendoDirect, launching on other formats after the show?
