You know, say what you will about how funny Pratchett and Adams were, the books took themselves seriously. We actually need an explosion of weirdness, tbh. Books, movies, give us all the weird stuff, seriously.

I have very strong feelings about this, and I don't know how to articulate it. I just wish I could read the Forerunner series by Andre Norton for the first time again.. Welp, guess I'll just read it again for the umpteenth time.

Just saying, getting Covid .. again (I work in healthcare, I am exposed FREQUENTLY), this sucks. However, Paxlovid as a medication, DOES NOT. Get your vaccinations. IF you do get something, take the meds for it. It's not rocket science, kids..

The POV (you) keeps.. slipping & falling, taking a nap, & wake up in an alternative reality, where you're in the same place, but it's populated by cats that need your help.. like "I really wanted a hot bath.. but the hot water is broken" in the bathhouse, etc.. You "escape", wake up & cats are gone.

Amber: Journey Beyond.. MYST, zork, Thief (is a mystery in and of itself), newer games: Return of the Obra Dinn.. Aviary Attorney, Sherlock Holmes, Sinking City, Seance of Blake Manor, Excavation of Hobb's Barrow, etc.. Honestly, you make it occult themed, give it a mystery, and I'm THERE.

TBF, can't afford groceries, so certainly can't afford new games, or new systems, or triple AAA games.. and I've got like over 80 games I've never played. Not to mention the REPLAYS. (Sadly I tend toward puzzle games, and not as much fun to replay those).

Heck, still playing fan missions on Thief, the Dark Project.

Still have the gamecube, Playstation 2.. I'd KILL for a Saturn with 4 games.. just 4.. Panzer Dragoon, DAYTONA, Virtua Fighter, and Sim City 2000.. Cuz you could also play CD's on a Saturn and it would do like.. the cube on the tv with the beat, and you could change the pitch.. I miss it.

I've directed kiddo to hire performers to talk about me (increasingly incredible things I did NOT do) at the wake, and play dirges on kazoos. LOVING the trainers on the Grim Reaper. Makes perfect sense. 11/10.
