Llama's primary designed (drawn by the wonderful Scott Derg) was heavily inspired by the outfit of Ai Shinozaki from the 1999 anime Corrector Yui, which was about magical girls in cyberspace!

Fun fact! The very first iteration of Llama had clothing colors inspired by Arata Sanada from Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. This was dropped in the very next iteration so it doesnt show in later designs.

Sometimes I want to ask the Digimon game designers the explanation behind certain evo options, like here in Cyber Sleuth where Virus Greymon can become Knightmon of all things. It does make good food for fan designs tho! Here's DracoKnightmon #digimon

A blue-skinned reptilian humanoid in a bulky black and gold suit of armor. It has a threehorned helm with a grill over the snout, one arm with black gold-trimmed armor and one with a large golden gauntlet. Hanging from the waist are a blue armored skirt and a blue-trimmed red banner with a stylized dragon.

Next to it is the magenta text "DracoKnightmon - Ultimate level", the Digimon "Virus" attribute icon, a rough approximation of DracoKnightmon as a vpet sprite in the style of the Digimon Pendulum, and a screenshot of the Grindosaur evo tracker for Greymon (Blue/Virus) showing the evolution to Knightmon that inspired this design

Aurarora may be taller, but that doesn't mean @sorathtriple666.bsky.social can't pull off some real stunning ensembles! Since Dark gave me a Fire Emblem outfit, I decided to match with Petra Macneary's "Loving Sea" costume. Do I know anything about Fire Emblem? No, but I have the internet!

A tall anthropomorphic pink llama in brown swimwear rests her arms on the shoulders of a dark skinned woman in lavender and black swimwear. The woman blushes as the llama girl cheerfully says "I'm not kidding! You really do look gorgeous!"
