Having just had some dialogue with a full blown maga type, I am extremely worried. This individual had a distorted view of what is really happening and it is fed to them by Fox. It left me shaken, as the only solution to them was violence.

These are the actions of a police state. If we get through this, we need to get rid of Homeland Security and completely revamp ICE. We never ever needed Homeland Security and it is being used just like everyone feared.

As a Californian, I feel like we are an "occupied" state and have lost our freedom. We know that we aren't taken over by rioters, but the rest of the world doesn't seem to know.

I've done 3 protests so far and we we had plenty of diversity. The crowds were peaceful and we had a great time. Talked to some people who told me their kids were applying for Canadian citizenship. If our politicians had controlled the flow of wealth, we'd be better off.

These kids didn't have a chance, easy credit and no responsible schooling telling them how to handle that credit. Also the government made easy school loans that caught them in a web of credit malpractice, with loans that their only escape is death. Lots of corporate profit, right?

I have attended two protest and intend to keep it up. My friends are afraid of being singled out by the government and do not understand that the Masses carry some weight. I am a direct descendant of a man who with his 5 sons fought in the American revolution. How could I do otherwise?

Rachel is right, we have to keep protesting and showing them that we know what they are doing. I am soon to be 88 and will attend every protest that I can. I am not happy that I could conceivably meet my maker while living in an authoritarian country.

When I was in high school, I would come home and listen to the McCarthy hearings. The fear was palpable and I knew what was happening was wrong. Trump is doing the same thing and I fear he will even try to go further. Protest, protest, protest.

My husband fought in Korea and he considered it a waste until years later when we visited Pusan and he saw all the progress that they had made. Were any of the actions after WWII a success, of course not. We knew that as we all sacrificed family and friends for political reasons.

I'm an octogenarian and I agree with getting younger people in office. We shouldn't be making decisions that impact the lives of younger people. We have no idea what they are facing and don't seem to be doing anything but taking care of ourselves. Time for age restrictions on our politicians.

Yes we do and I remember when we were the heroes of the world. We did great in WW11 and a little better in Korea, but the rest was a waste of American lives for the wrong reasons.
