Today a lovely stranger whom I had briefly spoken to on our outward flight to Budapest came across to me and shared her horrible news that her daughter had a still born little boy last night.

So my friends, she’s UK citizen and he is a Us citizen went back to live in States 15 years ago.. for family reasons after 30 years here. He has lost his right of residence in UK after 5 years and may not be allowed in permanently. So does the same apply to Megan Markle?

No joke: I got angry hate mail today for writing an obituary of a Black woman scientist—because the person felt she did didn’t deserve the recognition. Which just makes me want to share it again: www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Gladys Mae West obituary: mathematician who pioneered GPS technology

She made key contributions to US cold-war science despite facing huge barriers as a Black woman.

I don’t really approve of honours .. can’t really see why luvvies and political cronies get knighted or famed, I’m feeling this particularly when a professor who has made huge strides in Cancer Research over 50 years only gets an OBE .

Ryanair are awful : delays , unclear charging, corralling people like sheep, no help for single travellers with young children and bags. But they’ve cornered the market, they don’t have to be helpful.

The current hand-wringing in the UK at a very wealthy foreign national attempting to manipulate public opinion via disinformation on a media outlet they have bought is surprising to me. Have we learnt nothing?
