@sandra You are right. I know it’s autism spectrum disorder now I use the term because it’s specific and I think it’s in my diagnostic history. The term is just named after... oh no... oh no this is worse than I thought. That is much worse than I thought.

Recently, the FTC Chair warned Mastercard, Visa, PayPal and Stripe against deplatforming of customers or denial of access to services in a manner that is inconsistent with their terms of service or a customer’s reasonable expectations. These payment processors are increasingly using their financial control to coerce online platforms (e.g. Steam and Itch.io) into demonetizing/deplatforming entire genres of video games and artwork because they contain...

...sensitive/adult content. The payment processors are trying to limit the mature content that adults can buy with their own money. Independent art on the internet shouldn’t be suppressed by payment processors or the government. I urge you to protect creators’ freedom to make/sell adult content and ensure a fair appeals process for media that is being strongarmed.

VPNs are valuable technical, security, and privacy tools. Different kinds of people use VPNs for legitimate reasons: remote employees, university students, or people trying to maintain their privacy/anonymity. If VPNs are blocked then Americans lose the battle for digital privacy and digital freedom. Utah’s law targeting VPNs goes into effect on May 6th, and when one state passes a law like that, it can have an unfortunate chain reaction across the country. I urge you to protect the right of Americans (adults especially) to use VPNs.

Age verification laws mandate the use of systems that ingest our sensitive personal data. This is like forcing people to show ID at every door, given that these laws target broadly defined topics. When third parties collect our valuable data, it increases the risk of leaks or misuse. Therefore, we should limit such data collection to situations where it is absolutely necessary. On a related note, requiring Linux developers to add OS-level age signals imposes an odd burden on them and creates disagreement in that space. These laws worry those who want to freely express themselves online. For the parents who want their child’s internet use to be safer, I recommend the existing parental controls and settings built into most devices.

I use this app to compress videos and photos. This is from the F-Droid, the free and open source app store. 私はこのアプリを使って動画や写真を圧縮している。これはF-Droidというフリーでオープンソースのアプリストアのものだ。 I think it only processes one file at a time. 一度に1つのファイルしか処理できないと思う。

I have seen alphabets like this on Omniglot. There is a category for phonetic/universal writing systems. I have always thought that those examples need improvement. Omniglotでこのようなアルファベットを見たことがある。表音文字/普遍文字システムのカテゴリがあります。私は常々、これらの例は改善が必要だと考えています。
