Poltergeist! First genuine horror movie I watched, probably around 9 or 10 at my cousin's house. I ran out of the room when the guy started peeling his face off and didn't finish it until I was an adult

Wait, so participants get all this great comics guidance AND get paid to be there? Am I reading that right?

One of these bad boys, already a decade old when my grandpa gave me his old one in 2004ish. I created many an elaborate MSPaint scene on it, and eventually accumulated enough yard sale CD-ROMs to upgrade to Windows 98 and play Thief: The Dark Project on it, which was formative to my whole deal.

Thank you! This was a tabletop scenario I created and ran for my siblings. It ended when one of their characters discovered she was the dream-consciousness of an extradimensional entity and the other watched the whole town fall into an open wound. Polishing it up so everyone can have fun with it

Also I see a lot people saying th CGI is dodgy and while that is true of the visual fidelity in parts, the animation itself is stunningly kinetic. There's a scene near the end that I almost never see western VFX studios have the gumption to tackle and it's handled masterfully here

Hope was genuinely one of the wildest movie experiences I've had in a while. Starts off as Korean Tremors and only gets more insane from there.

Thanks! I've enjoyed doing some digital photo collage in the past and it was a good excuse to hunt through my old pictures for backgrounds

Trying a slightly different thing for a scenario I'm working on for the Liminal Horror Summer Jam. Classic small town doomsday cult cosmic nightmare stuff. More to come!

Two extremely different pieces of art you've made. See, it's only MOSTLY fiddly pen and ink stuff around here.
Gouache and ink painting of a fishperson knight and his crustacean companion being ambushed by goblins in the woods, based on D. Jeffrey's Mosschester.Pen and ink drawing of a car stopped on an empty desert road at night. Its headlights shine on a mysterious, organic winged shape hovering in the road in front of it. The car's door is open, and no driver is visible.

I love my metal long sleeves but the repeating logo always strikes me as lazy design. You've got a whole vertical canvas you're paying to screenprint, might as well use that space for something that isn't already on the front of the shirt.

A couple of brooding warriors for my dear friend @esque-arts.bsky.social
Pen and ink illustration depicting two swordsmen taking a breather after a battle in the forest. One wears the ornate half-plate armor of a nobleman, while the other is dressed in a simple chainmail hauberk. They both look like they're having a bad day, that is about to be ruined further by a hulking, antlered shape in the treeline behind them.

If you want to read some dark fantasy adventure, the new chapter of my comic "May Thy Hand Not Slip" is finished! In it a monk gets stuck in a pit with a bandit, who put him there, creation myth is told, and a seal on a magic sword gets broken. You can check it out on my itch io store (link in bio).

Just watched Knightriders for the first time, and it made me wonder how many movies there are where pretty much everyone except the protagonist is having a blast, and the protagonist probably could too if they'd just chill the fuck out. Twister is a similar scenario

RIP Viktor Antonov; I'm amazed at how skillfully he took the same brutalist blue-black metal from Half-Life 2 and made it work in Dishonored's Victorian setting.

This is something that people without illustration experience tend not to see: every single thing in an image was put there with intention, nothing can be incidental. A writer says "the car," but an illustrator says exactly what model, inside and out, from every angle, and it's not optional.

I wonder if he realizes how many of us just immediately lost interest in everything he does knowing that some or all of what we're seeing is AI-generated. It's incredibly damaging to his whole shtick and he'd be dumb as hell to not just renounce it and move on.

Very tired of this kind of leftist that believes geopolitical complexity is liberal propaganda and any position that could be construed as anti-american is inherently anti-fascist as well. It's counterproductive to the point of making me suspect astroturfing

That's the thing that gets me about his movies, they all have such a somber tone and bleak, grandiose atmosphere but the writing is never good enough to make me care about any of it.

Thanks! Tales is a good one. I think Old Sorcery is my favorite for the classic synth sound and DIM for a more medieval flavor. Erreth-Akbe and Guild of Lore are also faves

Stuff like this is why "I had to use AI because I couldn't afford to hire an artist" is a horseshit excuse. There's so much incredible work you can use for free and lovely people like this that want to help you do that.

It's done! Much like our diminutive heroine, I've reached the end of this particular quest. Shout out to every dungeon synth artist; I must have listened to most of them while working on this.
Ink illustration of a small ruined castle on a mountain spire. A huge, sinuous, dragonlike creature curls around the tower, peering down at a weary warrior approaching up stairs carved into the rock. The sky is full of dark stormclouds, but a sunbeam illuminates the scene.

I think Troy did a pretty good job of this! The outfits aren't period accurate, but they're at least visually interesting and tell you a bit about the characters wearing them. If Nolan had gone that route I don't think anyone would be complaining
