I have been really bad about garden updates. It's been really hot here. It still feels like summer. We are getting a second wave of Monarch caterpillars, and our swamp milkweed is taking over. The zinnias took over the sunflowers, and the peppers are so happy. 🌱🌶🦋🐛

Our Peppers are so happy! 🌶 🌱 also Happy Black Cat Day 🐈‍⬛️! Sesame is obsessed with being in the garden as well.

I've been really bad about posting garden progress lately. Here is the view of our side garden after our small anniversary trip. 🌱 Sunflowers 🌻 are starting and we had so many tomatoes 🍅

We got our first tomato and fully ripen blueberry of the season. The birds have been having too much fun tasting the blueberries before they get ripe but the rain gave this little one a chance. 🌱

Current blooms. Maybe today I'll be able to enjoy my yard more that the rain has called down a bit 🌱

Progress on side garden! We have blueberries, grapes, muscadine grapes, watermelon, tomatoes and a bunch of other plants we grew from seed. The flat area towards the front is the future wild flower garden. We put a bunch of Zinnia, wild flower and sunflower seeds and then covered them in pine 🌱

Not gardening related but I did wear a rose in my hair so close enough right! Husband and I at the Bruno Mars Concert in Atlanta. I swear he is one of the best singers/performers of this generation. We saw him in 2011 at The Fox and he is still the best concert we have attended!

So many blooms in my garden right now! 🌱

Livvylove @livvylove.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

The moment I buy more peonies to replace the one I THOUGHT died. Guess who starts to grow. The last photo is my Shirley Temple peonies I got last year from Home Depot. 🌱 I'm starting to prefer the big box stores peonies. I'm getting flowers the next year vs bare roots but close to bare root prices

Home Depot (black pot) hot pink Peony
Lowes(lavender pot) Peony

The Peony I bought from the master gardener sale last year that honestly didn't look like it was doing so great so I thought it died.

Close-up of the lowes Peony. I decided to go with the fuller one with more shoots than one with 2-3 that had more mature buds

This is my Shirley Temple Peony! I'm so excited to see it bloom

My garden is so happy! It's also finally warm enough that we can plant our veggies outside! Peonies are about to bloom too! After a meh office day it was nice to spend the rest of the day in my garden. 🌱 #8a

I'm shocked! I've never seen a Monarch butterfly this early in the season. It's normally mid to late summer. It was fluttering around the violets any the tiny shoots of milkweed staring to come up. 🐛🌱🦋

You guys are probably the only people who will understand my pure joy! I FINALLY found the Black Jack Agapanthus! In 2023 I got to visit England and go to the Chelsea Flower Show. This was the Flower of the Year! I was obsessed I love Agapanthus and the deep purple was so beautiful I FOUND IT 🌱

So far it seems our seedlings are doing good. Before the freeze we started trying to harden them off. I think the freeze on Monday might be the last one of the year 🤞🏽 🌱

Yesterday and today was garden cleanup time. I was cutting back old dead growth and my husband was weeding. We got the front mostly done and part of the back. 🌱🌸 Did you do any gardening this weekend?

1213

Livvylove @livvylove.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

It's Alive! So far we are having success with our new seed starting setup. Cats(mainly Poppy) hasn't been bothering it. It's easier to control the heat and humidity. So far big success! Let's see if these seedlings become nice starts 🙏🏽🤞🏽🌱

Maybe a little early but my first spring flowers are blooming 🌱 I had a bunch of daffodils that were sprouting up in the fall but they seemed to die back when we got a few cold snaps. Hopefully the coming cold doesn't kill these guys too

I've been quiet because well winter and not much has been going on in the garden. But apparently, I wasn't paying attention to the garage! Our lemon tree is blooming(a little early)! And the Russet Potatoes are starting to grow too! 🌱🌸

Our garage setup with grow lights and incandescent lights for warmth. It's 66 degrees around the plants but 44 outside

Our first frost was on Halloween so we decided to cover the trellis and raised beds. It seemed to stop the frost damage. We did take these loofah inside but they are too green The clear tarps seemed to work so we are keeping them on until all the tomatoes are done then we will clear out the beds 🌱

Loofah and tomatoes we harvested before the frost.
