DT lone offenders will continue to pose significant detection and disruption challenges because of their capacity for independent radicalization to violence, ability to mobilize discretely, and access to firearms. Additionally, in recent years, heinous assassinations and other acts of political violence in the United States have dramatically increased. Commonly, this violent conduct relates to views associated with anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the U.S. Government (USG); extremism on migration, race, and gender. and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality. In September 2025, President Trump signed National Security Presidential Memorandum-7 (NSPM-7), directing the FBI and JTTFs to coordinate a comprehensive national strategy to investigate, prosecute, and disrupt entities and individuals engaged in acts of political violence and intimidation designed to suppress lawful political activity or obstruct the rule of law. Many disagreed with the Steven Salaita essay I shared yesterday. I still think it's valuable. I read it as a window into growing up Palestinian-American in the US, of seeing many cultural products that sympathise with Jewish characters and only unsympathetic portrayals of Arab characters. 1/

Thomas Massie, R-Kentucky, and Rep. Chellie Pingree, D-Maine, reintroduced the Interstate Milk Freedom Act, which would prohibit "federal interference" with the interstate sale of raw dairy in states where raw milk is already legal.
Massie, who served raw milk at his recent wedding, has a farm with 50 cattle, and Pingree, a former dairy farmer and the only Democratic sponsor of the bill, raises her own grass-fed beef.
"The Interstate Milk Freedom Act would make it easier for families to buy the milk of their choice," Massie said when he announced the bill, choice,
"by reversing the criminalization of specific dairy farmers.
