They go in a bioreactor. I don't know how much of the material actually gets usefully digested, but that was one of the reasons they got the unit they did because it is designed to handle plastic mixed in (also why you don't have to use compostable bags here).

Just did this! (I usually do 450 for a bit shorter) It works because high heat combined with flattening it so legs are more exposed than the breasts makes the legs cook faster. Perfectly cooked dark meat without overcooking the white :D
