Note to self: work on perfecting regurgitation sounds without causing myself to actually gag and almost upchuck all over my recording equipment. On the plus side, I got the perfect take! 🎙️

Life is precious and time will not stop. This is why you need to do what you love and cherish the ones you care about now. Not later. NOW. We humans live about 80-90 years. Many aren’t even close to that limit. Why are you hesitating? Stop waiting. Grab your joy.

Manga collection has hit 989 volumes. I’m 11 volumes away from 1,000! A true library. 🥰 (I mean, 1,000 is an arbitrary number the masses picked and it’s still nice to hit a threshold.) If I only buy the volumes I’m collecting as they release, I’ll hit 1,000 just before Xmas! 😍

Drinking extra lemony lemonade with extra sugar. I think to myself, “Mm, am I drinking my demise?” I take a sip. “It’s a good demise.” 🍋 True story.

physical media is awesome because you just get to look at big trophy shelves of things you've watched and played and look at other people's trophy shelves, c'mon, what's better than that

Learning Mandarin has been like training my listening ears with weights. Learning tones are no joke! I’m confident my voice acting will improve from this. In addition, I have my in-laws to help correct my tones so I don’t cause a meltdown.

You know how I have that little tradition of sitting through the end credits? I saw Backrooms by myself, in a theater way way in the back back, on the second level, inside a dead mall. Walking to my car was a trip. 😬

One of the most important lessons I learned as a voice actor is to have interests besides acting. I’ve been painting with watercolors (6 months now), writing poetry, Mandarin lessons, reading manga, & learning/playing mahjong. I will always encourage doing art for the joy of it!

I know people are upset with my response, which is fine, but I kind of just wanted to make a cartoon, & it's ended up being way more trouble than it's worth. I really just can't keep my heart in this thing anymore. It's gotten too much bigger than me, & I probably shouldn't be the figurehead of it.

Please choose art over AI slop. On the left, my first watercolor painting. On the right, 6 months later. I created art because it felt good to do it. I share this in the hope some will see that AI does not save time, but takes away the journey.

Rewatching an oldie but a goodie anime called Key The Metal Idol. A very slow burn with one season but I love the character designs and the acting for the English dub.

Was studying mandarin and I found this in my work book. It’s my last name! Lin. It means “two trees/forest/grove/woods” and I already knew that but what I didn’t know it was considered a pictograph character. This is fun! (Anyway, I just wanted to share what I learned. K bye!)

I truly hope that someday I’ll be fortunate enough to be a voice on a show that people will miss as much as Smiling Friends. I have so much respect for creatives who end their shows on their own terms. I haven’t felt this way about a show since Gravity Falls, and even Daria.

Learning Mandarin is workout. I actually finished my lessons tonight a little sweaty. The language pushes me to listen harder, which I know will benefit my voice acting. It almost feels like I’m practicing my scales and arpeggios.
