CARTOON BLOOD WARNING On how I just don't "get" robots.

A panel of a robot with exposed hydraulics and wires in its abdomen, and a simple screen for a face.

Text on the panel reads
I've really tried to get into robots. I'm not sure why, but they've just never spoken to me. I'm just not a robotfucker at heart.

A simple panel with text.

I ask people I know why they like robots, or what the appeal is. I want to understand. See what's under the hood, as it were.
Most of them provide a similar answer.

"I am the robot."

Which I understand on an intellectual level. I get why someone might feel like a robot, and I get why someone might want to be a robot. Made for a purpose, just do as you're told. Reparable, unkillable, unstoppable, beautiful.
But I don't know.

A panel of a person bleeding from the mouth and nose messily, blood draining down their neck and chest until their body is completely consumed by the blood from the neck down.

Text on the panel reads
It's easier to see myself as meat.

Also: creating to satisfy and infinite theoretical audience will kill you. You've gotta settle on an audience of like 5 people max. The fewer the better.

010

Lit! 💥 I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. @litriu.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I think people hesitate to be specific because they're worried about alienating an audience (of potential clients) that wants something else, but that really is not how it works. People want specific art made by specific perverts.

Lit! 💥 I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. @litriu.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I feel like especially with commission storefronts like Vgen I see a lot of people who are trying to be a jack of all trades, and for some people that works great. But if it isn't working great for you, get specific.

100

Lit! 💥 I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. @litriu.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I think my two big pieces of advice are get specific, and learn to identify when someone's critique comes down to "I think you should draw more like me" rather than "I want you to draw like yourself, but more"

OC-tober Day 2: New OC I can’t wait to draw more of Noemi! She’s a hexblood cleric looking to break her own curse 💜 More lore in the alt text! #bweirdOCtober #bweirdOCtober2026 #oc #art #ocsky

Noemi was born as a hag daughter - a night hag haunted her mother’s dreams whilst pregnant, and she was unknowingly cursed. Hag daughters appear like normal children until their 13th birthday, where they suddenly turn into a full-fledged hag. However, Noemi’s transformation was interrupted when, by pure chance, her hag mother was slain by some adventurers. This left Noemi half-changed, and her personality split. Though her original self is the main ‘host’, her hag self now resides in the eye on her forehead. Noemi has worked hard to maintain control of the evil persona, and is now usually able to keep it at bay during the day. But in the evening, when the night hag is most powerful, it will often wake up and take control of her body, leaving her to deal with the consequences in the morning. As preventative measures, Noemi will often sleep with an ankle cuff and muzzle, preventing the hag from casting spells or wandering off. Unfortunately the hag will still awaken and thrash about through the night, meaning Noemi often wakes up exhausted. She suffers from bouts of narcolepsy during the day, which can often become a hassle during inopportune moments. Noemi’s ultimate goal is to find a way to remove the hag-genes from herself for good, or at least seal them away permanently. When learning to manage her own situation, she gained a lot of healing knowledge that could also help other cursed individuals. Because of this, she travels the country as a specialist cleric, hoping that she can help others like her and also learn from their circumstances - maybe getting her closer to her own cure.

Another commission I did in 2024! Character belongs to my dear friend Song.

A full-color illustration of a man sitting at a dinner table in a dim room. On his plate is a human heart he cuts into with a scalpel and a violin bow. Blood pours down on him from off screen, as violently red as his gloves. On the wall behind him are anatomical diagrams and paintings of butterflies, as well as one round frame encircling his head like a halo.

You can "ai isn't the enemy" all you want but making chatgpt write your code is stealing the joy of writing like 10 lines of code and then drawing a shitty png placeholder and then throwing a bazillion of them onto the ground and going waow! I did that!

Lit! 💥 I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. I DRAW NSFW. @litriu.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

But shortly thereafter I was just filled with this immense sadness bc the person who originally vibecoded this didn't... get to feel that. You just stole joy from yourself.

So I'm making a very very very simple mod for Minecraft bc the one I saw that did what I wanted was vibecoded. And I've just made my first test item. It made me so outrageously happy!! I was so happy that the thing I made in my little code enclosure worked!! I gave it a little placeholder texture!!
