Same path, part 2? Or did you start another?

It’s hard to convey how shocking the original Smash Bros was. “Nintendo created an all out Brawler, pitting its wholesome IP against each other?” Nintendo should return to that shock by adding bruises, wounds and deformed faces. Let these characters look like they just survived an all out brawl

I’ll do you one further and say we can easily cut 4: DK, Jiggly Puff, Ness and Yoshi

There are a lot of fun twists when you’re swapping perspectives. Going from Leda’s quest for revenge, to Cai, who gets to know one of her targets well, made for a nice turn. But I also got spoiled on a big reveal in Theodora’s route by playing too far in Leda’s

For sure. It’s a super ambitious idea. Doesn’t quite get the balance right I’ve been using the Heroic Games as a control point for swapping. Works well. But for a game that encourages swapping, I really do wish they’d found a way to carry over progress similar to when you beat a full route

I’ve been playing all 4 concurrently. It feels like FW and 3 Houses have the opposite problems I only completed one route in 3H, because as much as I wanted to see the other perspectives, too much of the game overlapped. FW does it right narratively, but kinda forces you to play all 4

Good review. I was worried about the between battles tasks getting repetitive. After so many games, they still struggle to nail that pacing! Looking forward to it though

I have personal critiques (voice acting feels very Snow White era Disney and I prefer BotW’s art direction). But my personal reaction is so overwhelmingly positive from this footage, that anything not to my tastes feels very nit-picky. Personally very happy

Personally been waiting for this. Love how faithful it is, while at the same time giving a lot of depth and scale to the environments that almost feels like a magic trick to pull off. (Would love to hear the game devs talk on how they achieved this). Very excited for another replay

@kylehilliard.com as someone who has always thought a remake was unnecessary after 3DS, thoughts on Ocarina?

Half the time I was just trying to outrun and survive everything in the environment. Other times, I was like “fuck these guys! I’m gonna figure out how to take them down.” Genuinely some of the most fun I’ve had in any game

Core memory for me: Exploring that first opening area and coming across a chest that teleported me to a MUCH harder area. Never thought to teleport back after finding a bonfire. So instead, I foraged through several areas I was way too under-leveled for. Eventually made it home

It’s not for everyone. My first FromSoft experience was Dark Souls. I hesitantly tried the demo because everyone was going on about it, while also talking about how brutal it is. Didn’t think I’d like it at all The demo alone sold me on FromSoft. But I have friends who immediately hate their games

I’m a little tight on budget, but I’ll 100% be picking it up again on S2. It is a perfect handheld experience

This is a great video btw. I knew about most of Japan’s laws here, but now I’m curious how other countries handle this, as I was not aware that America is one of few “at will employment” systems. And I had no idea about Montana

My experience of 2 was very different from the majority. I really didn’t like it. The Kraven storyline (and character) was great. But the latter half of the game was a hot mess - everything from writing to gameplay… Loved Spider-Man and loved Miles Morales. 2 made me question if I’d play a part 3

I wish I had recovery advice for you. And everyone’s experience varies. But I don’t remember much other than feeling all of my anxiety was unwarranted. And I remember the calm, euphoric high I had on the car ride home. Was probably the cleanest surgery & recovery I’ve had personally

I had 3 impacted teeth removed. Was pretty nervous (including some sort of existential fear about being knocked out that I can’t quite articulate). I’ve had bad endodontic experiences, including having a root canal with no anesthesia when I was 12. The wisdom tooth removal was very clean for me

Otherwise, sorry it’s happening to you. Complete bullshit. AI needs to be regulated like crazy

I would at least contact a lawyer and see if they think there’s a lawsuit. Find someone that will take a cut of the settlement and not receive payment otherwise. Seems like it falls under defamation, especially if it impacts your business. And especially if you can argue they use your work for AI

To be clear, the WaPost has since edited the article to conform to best practice You might not think it was a big deal. But they were stating something as fact that not a single person has verified. It’s a huge violation in journalism
000
Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 15/07/2026
It’s not even controversial

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 14/07/2026
They worded it with the presumption that he is alive and well. He took a photo. He was attempting to dispel rumors. The fact is, his office released the photo to the public. There is an assumption guiding the reader to believe something specific, that has yet to be verified and is in question

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 14/07/2026
Yea, critique was aimed at Lucas. Not Reb or Kotaku
000
Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 14/07/2026
Housing produces more greenhouse gas than automobiles. But that’s not what I was arguing. I’m saying that Lucas’ framework is a false equivalent - people aren’t skeptical of technology because they’re stuck in their old ways. The whole purpose of AI is to devalue the person. It’s not the same thing
110
Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 14/07/2026
I would argue it’s not even a good comparison. AI is theft of other people’s work, without consent, as an effort to undermine their value and increase your own profit. And it’s also gonna steal natural resources at such an exponential rate we may create another extinction event

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 14/07/2026
It’s worded with bias, which is bad journalistic practice. It should read McConnell’s office released the photo - that’s fact. (It’s also how just about every other paper worded it) They can still mention the metadata and how they couldn’t find AI signatures. But they violated best practice

There’s plenty to criticize Persson for. And I’d be the first to say billionaires shouldn’t exist. Just not sure him selling Mojang to a large company that (at the time) seemed genuinely interested in making / funding games is an issue. But maybe there’s more to it than what I know
100
Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 08/07/2026
Think you’re reaching with Persson He made an indie game. Built a small studio to upkeep it after unexpectedly hitting the lottery. Sold that small business of 40 people to a large corporation that grew the team exponentially and continued the game’s legacy… went back to making indies

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 03/07/2026
Such a short sighted plan. I mean, if this is truly what Sony believes, it makes more sense to just exit the gaming space altogether and invest that money elsewhere You could argue they see value in their IP and want to monetize that, but this isn’t Nintendo. Why continue at all with a dying market

On the positive, Velan Studios nailed the space / atmospheric visuals in a way that I didn’t think Nintendo was capable of. Really great work from the devs in that regard

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 24/06/2026
I recognize that this could be more of an affect of nostalgia, and a nitpick, that doesn’t affect new audiences. But I immediately noticed it and it did make the combat slightly less exciting for me. And that’s not just me comparing how I felt as a teen, I just replayed the original end of 2025
100
Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 24/06/2026
Good review. One thing I would note, is that the voice acting is a lot less emotional from what I’ve heard. The cries to “do a barrel roll” or “enemy fighter on your left” have a lot less immediacy to them. That may have been a character choice, but it makes the gameplay feel less dangerous

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 23/06/2026
This feels like one of the most divisive films in a bit. Reviews range from masterpiece to awful, with lots of more nuanced takes in between. Think I’m gonna wait to rent it. But I’m definitely curious. Heard the action sequences are top notch

Fair. Personally wish Nintendo would allow us to purchase old games on the eShop as well

Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 20/06/2026
Good video. I get what you’re saying for sure. I’m not concerned about it myself, because I do think it’s a timeless classic that will hold up just fine (even if new audiences think it’s just good). And selfishly, I’ve been asking for this for years
010
Cam Craig @literatetruth.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Hopefully he was invited as a known skeptic, with someone thinking they might be able to convert him. He’s been a pretty vocal opponent of AI. And by all means, seems legit (esp when considering art and humanitarian concerns) Personally don’t think a more conspiratorial reason plausible

Not to hate on Xbox, but they are an absolute train wreck. Their entire strategy has been one of reacting to loss and compounding those losses. They need to stop reacting and come up with a sound strategy that best fits where they are now. And commit for a longterm play
