Second, analysts and anonymous tipsters flagged ordinary travel, like driving toward the border and back, as suspicious. Hopkinton, MA - Police used forfeited funds to bypass the town council and brought Flock into town with no oversight by an interim police chief. The town voted to terminate the contract. Now they should vote to send all forfeitures to the general fund.

A high schooler was hit by a car in Fairfax, VA yesterday. In the 'Oh shit, this isn't OUR fault' email from the school board, they list people complaining as things that have "gone wrong."

What's Gone Wrong Since School Started

Since classes began on August 24, there have been repeated reports of congestion and confusion at schools. Several examples include:

Centreville High School: Concerns have been raised about student crossings along heavily traveled Union Mill Road.
Chantilly High School: Concerns have been raised about student crossings along heavily traveled Stringfellow Road.
Thomas Edison High School: Concerns have been raised about student crossings along heavily traveled Franconia Road.

Unsurprisingly, MA also has the WORST civil forfeiture laws in the country, a few years ago there was a push to merely increase reporting on it by law enforcement and it died. This was after major stories of forfeiture abuse in the state came to light.

This thing about families asking people to move on planes is entirely the airline’s fault and it doesn’t seem like we talk about it enough. You shouldn’t be asked to move when you board a plane, I shouldn’t have to pay extrafor contiguous seating. This is cash grab, not customer service.
