We welcome Ilayda Şen, a PhD student that joined our team. With a Masters in Psychology, Neuroscience and Human Sciences, she was awarded a PhD fellowship to study the brain signatures of early prosodic development.

We developed a speech corpus of Portuguese-speaking children with High-Functioning Autism producing contrastive focus, with multilayer prosodic annotation. The work will be presented at Language Disorders 2026 (online; linguistic-society.com/event/langua...)

It was great tenth edition of Summer Training in Experimental Methods - STEM X! We had a full week of courses on ultrasound tongue imaging, Praat and acoustic analysis, eye-tracking, tools for perception studies, and EEG.
