finally opened the message. I’m uncomfortable with her making it seem like she’s doing me a favour. And feeling even more shitty about not always answering messages because I answer mentally or plan to reply when I have time/energy (I’ve been trying so hard to fix it). oh well.

WhatsApp meant that reads:

Hi Lisa, I'm really sorry. I just feel like this is all too much for you. I've tried a lot. I miss us and I miss you.
But I can't force you to talk to me. I just think maybe being a bridesmaid is way too much for you. I understand and I really hope you can still come to the wedding and have a good time there. I just think that this is overwhelming for you and I don't want to force you to do something you dont feel up to. I think it's best that we call it now before things get too much. Same thing happened with hair/nails/makeup. Except that isn’t paid in advance only closer to the wedding so at least there’s warning. Here’s a lil piece of my rant on priv on the other app 😅

I don’t know how it works elsewhere but in SA the bride/her family normally pay for bridesmaids dresses/makeup/hair/nails. Without warning we were sent prices for makeup/hair/nails which included hair split evenly by 3 (the bride is always more expensive) so I asked about that…

Got told I was unfairly accusing the bride of trying to pawn expenses off onto us. She then got the itemised quote and I was right, our hair was about half the price of hers. Fixed that. She’s multiple times told me I’m not involved enough but never actually asked me anything…

Officially the most random live stream location I’ve ever been in. We had no electricity and therefore no cellphone signal at our holiday home so I drove towards the nearest town and pulled over to put the show on once I had signal 😭😂

It’s almost midnight and this is the temperature inside my bedroom. I am an “overheat in my sleep” girly on a good day. This is fun 😅 (It’s around 84°F for my US friends) (AC is not a standard in houses here unless you can afford to install/run it and central heating/cooling doesn’t exist 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Not their exact words. But yes. (I did try to tell them we usually get target exclusives internationally too- the exclusivity is only in the US)
