Thanks to my friend Harriet for pointing out that the women went to Christ's tomb and saw he was not there, the angels showed up to describe what happened, & the women then told the apostles, who dismissed them. A Biblical account of women not being believed.

A note for everyone working in the #VAWG space but especially those with lived experience. Your knowledge is crucial, and you deserve to speak truth to power.

If you want to hear me talk about the work I love doing, and the chance to laugh at the feminist who forgets Emily Wilding Davidson’s name I have the podcast episode for you… #livedexperience #vawg

Fancy joining a steering group to support research on CSA? I’m looking for people to support my PhD and would love to hear from people who might be interested - more info in the alt text description #PhD #research #steeringgroup #vawg #csa #survivor

I am looking for people with experience of child sexual abuse by someone aged under 18 (and ideally aged under 13) to support my PhD research.

The nature of PhD’s means that I can’t fully co-produce this work, but I want to ensure that it centres the voices of those with lived experience, and that I have a group of trusted allies to help me explore approaches to the work.

As a self funded PhD student, sadly I am not in a position to offer renumeration at this stage (which is something I do not feel good about) but I am continuing to actively seek this funding and would also love to explore with those who take part how else I might be able to give back in different ways.

If you’re interested please email me in the first instance, so that we can set up an initial call for me to talk to you more about the work I am doing, and to answer any questions you may have.

My PhD is part time, so I am looking for people who can commit to a meeting every 2-3 months for a period of approximately 4 years. I am happy to work flexibly to ensure those who work can take part (for example by organising evening meetings).

(Image description: a megaphone on a pink background that reads: Have you experienced child sexual abuse by someone aged under 18? Would you be interested in helping support PhD research in this area by joining a steering group?

I’m researching child sexual abuse where the victim-survivor are both aged 12 and under.

I am looking for women survivors to feedback on my research to ensure it’s empowering to those who take part.

For more information please email me on lisa@iamlisaward.com)

Anyone know any good papers on using creativity as reflexive practice in research? I find my way reading and drawing my way through my PhD and would like to formally incorporate it in my methodology somehow #PhDChatter

Hi folk, I'm looking for example of research or practice work in/around family courts to get better outcomes for those who've experienced domestic violence/abuse. I'm keen to hear examples when there is no criminal case, when people are deemed 'standard'/'medium' risk/those who can't get legal aid

A pink square with text that reads "Information request. I am looking for research or practice evidence on good work in family courts in cases of domestic abuse. Any information on training for judges, support for victim-survivors etc welcomed."and a picture of a document with the scales of justice on it

Am I the only person who thinks mandatory reporting is an awful idea? I’d have never uttered a word if it had existed when I was a child, I barely didn’t anyway because I didn’t think it would stay confidential. Anyone know if any papers on its success/downfalls? #VWAG #CSA #mandatoryreporting

Literally crying hearing how French women applaud Gisele Pelicot every day as she walks out of court. #r4today Everywhere around the world women watch & applaud her bravery too. She stood up for all of us. Because the shame has to switch sides.
