✨ ART REVEAL ✨ When I say Sheltered in the Storm is cozy and spicy, I mean *cozy* and *spicy.* And I have lots of spicy art for this book, but this coziest of cozy art by the one and only @honeyy.fae captures the essence of Vos and Calla’s relationship. This book is about care, healing, and comfort.

There are so many ways authors are taken advantage of in this business. Every day we hear about new scams and predators, in addition to ones we've already unmasked. I honestly believe the only power we have as authors is to talk about our journeys with each other.

Full post on IG… This has been a YEAR. 😵‍💫 So many highs and so many very low lows on both personal and authorly levels. I hit some publishing milestones, broke free (mostly) from a toxic publishing relationship, wrote stories and books in a new-to-me genre, and rediscovered my love of writing...

I use em dashes but I’m not AI. I’m three quad-shot shaken espressos in a trench coat.

Authors, what word count trackers are we loving? I use Scrivener so I have the numbers, but I’d like something that gives me some colors and that boost of serotonin when I hit or exceed goals and shows me lovely progress graphs. Hit me with your recs! 💙

Always caught between the desire to pull the curtain back on my writing process and author life and the irrational fear I'll be judged for how I do what I do. How many tentacles does imposter syndrome have? Forty? At least?

In my WIP, my FMC asks, "Am I too much?" Without missing a beat, my MMC says, "Never." Right answer, sir. Right answer. She might decide to keep you.
