This is really cute for doggirls, but for dogs who are biologically canis familiaris, toki pona buttons would be too vague. non-therian dogs struggle to comprehend concepts as large as the ones for toki pona words, and therefore would probably adapt them to have more specific meanings.

toki pona update, according to linku's new word usage survey, the usage of the toki pona word "pu" went down from 94% to 56%, which is insane. it went down two full categories. I think that's pretty interesting! Read the analysis for more info: github.com/lipu-linku/i...

toki pona isn't a tool to help with this. toki pona only works when its speakers put in additional effort, and they can really do that with any language. I don't think toki pona's gimmick leads to any significant benefits.

toki pona does a bad job of resolving this issue. it's a lot of cognitive effort to describe what a "bad friend" is, so most speakers are likely to avoid having to do that by using a lexicalized phrase like "jan pona" to describe everyone.
