Couple of post game notes: Taking 3 points on a 10p west coast game is hard. Outstanding work. Banda’s goal today put her at 17, on the heels of Sanchez Erica Meg Parkinson now on an accumulation yellow card watch

Gianna Paul!!!!! Opportunistic kick from Gianna Paul gets a weird wobbly spin that throws Claudia Dickey.

An even match at half, stats wise. Courage finding more opportunities for their forwards compared to last week. Seattle not intercepting much, which helps Courage momentum. Seattle finding some space in midfield and taking advantage of a few giveaways. Sheridan with a few big saves.

SOURCES: The #NWSL has implemented a new player development rule (PDR) allowing teams to ID youth players and shape their development. If the player eventually signs in #NWSL, that team gets significant salary cap relief through their 23rd birthday. Signings could start in 2028. More on @espn.com:

Courage making a late push in first half, playing with their style and creating some excellent chances.

Really thought that was gonna be the Parkinson goal we've been predicting, but she passed the ball off 😅

020

The Lions Pitch @lionspitch.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

So far, between Erica Meg Parkinson and Shinomi, the Courage have been solid midfield, but it's tough to run into the wall of Tierna Davidson / Jess Carter

The Lions Pitch @lionspitch.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Both teams committing ample giveaways, will be interesting to see how much of a factor that is on final score line.

The Lions Pitch @lionspitch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

One thing about creating chaos, you create opportunity. Gotham does what they do best and capitalize with a quick pass from Kerr -> Jordyn Dudley, 1-0 Gotham.

030

The Lions Pitch @lionspitch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Really physical play from Evelyn Ijeh to get the ball a few times in the first 5 minutes. Courage in general not getting bullied around by Gotham. Both teams playing with a high intensity.

030

The Lions Pitch @lionspitch.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Wild start, ball has changed hands so many times I had trouble keeping up with my notes which is ... not normal. Courage pushing hard an earn first corner.
