This same man is estimated to have killed hundreds of thousands with the vindictive cruel DOGE cuts to USAID. Or, alternatively the countless Trans people abused into oblivion on X might feel a little pain. Fuck ‘em though, eh? Forever full of shit. The Gibney film can’t come soon enough.

X post of Elon Musk: I think this is the right move. Cruelty to something that believes it is experiencing pain is not ok.

A startling find on my morning run around Warsaw’s University of Physical Education. Obviously film-set dressing but astonishing they left it up on an open set after hours! Madness.

A lot of website renovation, admin, and prep this week, so lots of music from the record player rather than the computer. First time in a while revisiting my all-time favourites. Now that the website's trucking, I think I'll write sometime about my flying visit to Athens, GA. #nowplaying

Hey, I'm Neil ☞ I'm a Scottish street photographer in #Warsaw, PL ☞ I photograph for SOPA Images ☞ I teach, write, & talk about photography ☞ I have a #photography newsletter called The Contact Sheet. You can subscribe here: neilmilton.scot#contact-shee... www.neilmilton.scot | #streetphotography

A middle-aged Scottish man with a covid mask down over his chin, and his right arm in a cast and sling. The man is standing in front of a wall that is worse for wear. Paint is peeling off it and it's heavily textured. There is a rain-damaged poster on the wall for Glasgow's Pavilion Theatre. The poster has a cartoon of a theatre audience laughing and the text says "There will be hilarious laughter soon!"

A collection of flower-girls waiting for a Corpus Christi parade to begin. The girls are all dressed in white and many are carrying small baskets with flowers. They are chatting and have various humorous expressions while one drinks water from a bottle.

A small dog stands looking inside a doorway that is blocked by a sign that says "No dogs"

In amongst the energy and excitement of the Warsaw pride parade, two girls share a kiss as their friends look on.

A decade ago, I met an incredibly talented, funny, tenacious, unflappable, and beautiful Polish lassie who has completely changed my life, and me, for the better. She never fails to impress me and she's just pretty bloody cool. Happy birthday, Marta. x

Fear of #streetphotography is often just fear of what other people might think. Weird looks? Suspicious glances? A little embarrassment? You're a street photographer. You're not doing anything wrong. Better a little initial discomfort, and a good photo at the end of it. 📷 #Warsaw, Poland. 2026

Apropos of my earlier post and the #streetphotography advice to get closer. Here's an archive photo. A group of men playing football among trees in a park in Paris. I don't remember where. Though I still like it, making this photo today, I'd be much closer to the action. 📷 #Paris, France. 2009

Robert Capa famously said that "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." Now something of a cliché, it's well-worn for a reason. Through shyness or anxiety, #streetphotography from beginners often suffers from being made from a distance. Get closer. 📷 #Warsaw, Poland. 2026
