As part of Valve's work on developing the Steam Frame VR headset, they worked on foveated rendering support for the Mesa Turnip driver that supports the Qualcomm Adreno graphics with open-source Vulkan API support. Foveated rendering is the technique to more closely mimic human vision by rendering high detail at your direct gaze point and lower quality in the peripheral vision. For computer graphics, foveated rendering for headsets can be beneficial for conserving power in areas of the render frame that are less important to provide more performance with your main area of focus...

I used to use it with my editor but it would lag overtime with scrolling through timeline after cutting, even with a full amd setup from last year. Seeing kdenlive improve has brought the idea of moving back so we don't rely on proprietary software :)

The Linux streaming support under a Wayland session like KDE plasma better be good enough. Last time I tried it out SteamVR was pretty poor with quest 3, not being able to connect via steam link majority of the time, viewing my desktop screen was not possible and most games had issues.
