Yeah. I used to have one steady friend and then they slowly disappeared and I realized I didn't belong anywhere. You know the classic: people would talk about birthday parties I wasn'tinvited to, no one would wait for me at lunch etc. And I was like "at least I didn't get bullied" for a long time. 😬

Ugh, I'm sorry to hear that, sounds like you have a good plan of action at least. And I don't know if you'd want a solution, but tweaking with settings and making it feel more like you, might be a thing?

But since both my brothers and my mother and her boyfriend were well, characters, and it was a very silent and emotionally toxic environment lol, I guess I never thought about it. Sorry for ranting. :P

I knew I did som not normal stuff as like 8-10 but didn't wish to be normal until 13-14 and realized I was "wrong-weird".

I did a lot of stuff growing up that made so much sense when I found autism on the interwebs (well asperger then). Had to do the exact routine with everything, couldn't swim, bike, was great at school but hit a literal wall in my teens and couldn't understand the sudden social shift.

Noooo, not thrips. I had 50 plants and somehow it spread to ALL my plants. Upstairs, downstairs. All rooms. Even though they didn't mingle. After weeks I threw most of my plants out except the chosen few because I didn't have time to take care of all! (I am plant-traumatised)

And there's options out there to help with the loneliness, like "met a grandpa/grandma cafe" or something but that means someone needs to have the time to do it and not be understaffed, like you mentioned. It's hard!

Nah, it's fine. :3 It's good to be passionate about these things! I haven't really had elderly people in my life (no grandparents) but I worked a stint at a hospital kitchen. I feel like eldery are dehumanized a lot and forgotten and that's sad. Everything ends up being routine.

You going to be alright with the costs? We've had a huge spike in vet costs over here. Treating my guinea pig's abscess was 570$ (with meds) But so worth it. 🥹
