I still don’t understand why there’s not more outrage at the blatant falsehoods: “we have no control at all over these people we threw in a prison on El Salvador.” You’re paying El Salvador to keep them there! Stop paying. Pretty sure that gives you some control.

UConn AAUP is holding a demonstration on April 17 against the federal attacks on higher education. UConn would not give us a permit, citing the new policy on noise during daytime hours, which was hastily created after the pro-Palestine demonstrations in spring.

I’d read Tea Orbeht’s first novel. I liked it, but found the distanced, dreamy style not quite to my taste. But it works perfectly for this tale of myth, youthful superstitions, climate change, trauma, loss, the power of the mind, and the power of a story. One to remember. #booksky
