Just a heads up to anyone else who was published in @litmoralitmag.bsky.social the website links do not lead to that litmag anymore, I'm *very* surprised the site it redirected to didn't set off my antivirus software

why, of all the choices are lit mags choosing *Instagram* as their sole place to set up on?! the place where you cannot click on the link in the post you see?! *that's* where you want to share stories?!

Tried voice dictating some writing, and it managed to correctly identify the word, then promptly misspelt it, then squiggly lined it like it was *my* problem?!

have belatedly realised that I will need to set my message acceptance settings to 'no one' as I refuse to prove my age on this or my other account and I have been haunted by a damn notification bubble for a week after a friend tried to send me an art >.<

I really need to stop submitting to places that don't list a decision turnaround time cos they're always the ones that take absolutely *ages* >.< granted, this particular story is over 5k so there's not a lot of places it can go but it's been with them since August and I'm impatient lol

On one hand, most lit mags being in the US/opposite time zone to me means I tend to wake up to decision emails, on the other hand my sleepy brain spent far too long trying to work out what the 15th month was this morning until I realised it was a US date format >.<

looking for a place to submit one of my sci-fi stories, and I keep going to myself, oh if it's not suitable for this story, it'll be suitable for one of my other sci-fi stories...but that one has found a home now, I'm free of searching for its place (it'll be out later this year)

eek my physical copies of These Pages Sing arrived today! Excited to use the embosser and stickers my sister gifted for my MA graduation last year ^.^ you can find my story (Dis)Enchantment on page 36 and links to the physical/online issues here: lindsaycomerwriter.wordpress.com/fiction-me/
A open, two page spread of an A4 magazine. There are patterned edges around the text, the title (Dis)Enchantment is visible but the rest of the text is unreadable. On the left hand page, in the top right corner is a shiny gold sticker. There is a closed issue of 'These Pages Sing' sitting a top the open magazine, obscuring most of the two open pages. The cover of the magazine is a half of sheep's face/body on a yellow background.
A close up of the first page, the text is readable but unimportant. The focus is on the golden embossed sticker in the upper right hand corner, it says 'From the library of Lindsay Comer' and features the initials 'LC' and floral embellishments.

Hey Writers! Anywhere I can submit a 'weird future horror' story that is 5,222 words? It's proving a slight nightmare to place because it's above a lot of places max word count and features some (slight) cannibalism
