Very pleased to see Sushi Toshi all you can eat Japanese restaurant 🍣 is opening a South Edmonton location! After I saw the sign I called to ask when opening date was and they said Jan or Feb. 🥰 The North location was always tight & bursting at the seams so this expansion is very welcome. #yegfood

My first official Bluesky post is about Edmonton weather #yegwx so that feels like an appropriate nod to old Twitter lol.

The weather in Edmonton this week after all that snow is giving April slush / mud vibes and I don't like that for December. (April is my least favourite month weather-wise lol)

That's good to know! Especially as Instagram does a big push away from hashtags 🥲

Okay but do we agree that the username/tags aren't super cute on Bluesky? * lol @lindork.bsky.social (this looks too long? 🥹) * I recognize this is a very minor issue compared to the benefit of not having to deal with like, Nazis on Twitter/X.

I am not huge into the idea of having Meta own THREE major platforms (if Threads gets major). So that is one reason I am okay with Bluesky. lol

I still haven't deactivated yet but I guess I should... the lure of memes still tricks me into lurking a bit lol.

It's snowing today in Edmonton, and it's a perfect time to join #BlueSky. Looking forward to meeting new friends and sharing our plans for our 35th Festival.

It was definitely the first time I noticed something that felt "mass!" I didn't realize about the ToS change. Gross.

I have been waiting over a year for a very big mass departure from folks but it just hasn't happened lol

@yeggord.bsky.social also I can tell that you're hopeful about Bluesky because you're actually using your name, occupation and real photo in your bio!!!

Do we think that Twitter is actually finally dead now and Bluesky is the replacement? It's happening? I've been waiting lol. Do hashtags work the same? Hello #yeg??? lol
