Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 36mI am visiting Sheffield Park on the 17th with the RHS Gardens Club. Looking forward to it. 120
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 1h🌱 #insectThursday A beautiful pink Zinnia for you this morning. If you look closely, there is a tiny fly on the petals. I have zoomed in on the second picture so you can see it clearly. I have a friend coming for lunch. She is the only person on the planet that has known me all my life! 0132
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 07/10/2026🌱 #roseWednesday A rose called ‘Golden Smiles’ for you on a very wet (but very welcome) rainy Wednesday. I’m luckily not doing a tour today and can stay at home, dry and warm. 7736
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 06/10/2026🌱 #thicktrunkTuesday Another of the characterful trees in Hyde Park. We are so lucky to have free access to wonderful open spaces in the middle of London. @theroyalparks.bsky.social I am off to do a tour at Wisley this morning. 1643
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 05/10/2026🌱 #magentaMonday Gorgeous “Morning Glory” flowers for you this morning. When I lived in Johannesburg as a child it was thought of as a pernicious weed, like we think of Bindweed. Perception is a mysterious thing! Bulb planting today with a bit of a rain dance/prayer added. 915313
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I read that quickly and had a vision of you eating Bear! Enjoy your walk. 000
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 04/10/2026🌱 #SundayYellow The seasons are definitely changing and there is a bit of a chill this morning. Still no rain though, sadly. I’m off to do my volunteering shift at Wisley’s Hilltop and hope I will have enough energy at the end to visit the new exhibition in the Old Lab, “Wisley Then and Now”. 413311
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Sending good wishes for Bowie. A worrying time for you. 110

Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 03/10/2026So looking forward to seeing the rest of your vast estate! 110
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 03/10/2026#postboxSaturday Some people are so clever and so generous sharing their talent. This is a local postbox with an autumnal topper. Enjoy! 3380
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 03/10/2026My favourite colours so I would choose all the same tones. 110
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 03/10/2026🌱 #sixonSaturday from my tiny garden this week. Description in Alt text. Flu and Covid vaccines later so I will be taking it easy today. 619921
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 02/10/2026🌱 #flowersonFriday It has been worth the wait for Dahlias to flower. This one is in Wisley’s Exotic Garden. So good to see the raindrops on the petals too. I’m heading off to buy some more bulbs. 3746
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 01/10/2026You are doing so well! Mine are on Saturday. I can have both because I am so ancient. 130
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 01/10/2026🌱 #insectThursday #weebee So much furriness in this picture taken in Wisley’s Hilltop World Food Garden. I am back at Wisley this morning for the quarterly staff and volunteer update because I always like to know what is going on! We seem to have had a few drops of rain overnight but we need more! 4728
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Very jealous of your rain! I think we had about 4 and a half drops despite the prediction on the BBC weather App. My garden is bone dry and plants are really suffering. 110
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 30/09/2026🌱 #roseWednesday I wish I had the ability to age as beautifully as this rose! We had a small bit of rain overnight, nowhere near enough though. Yesterday I planted lots of crocus bulbs but I am planning to plant more. 615016
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 29/09/2026🌱 #thicktrunkTuesday One of the LARGE trees I saw on my visit to The Hyde Patk Nursery last week. If you look closely, there is a person for scale. @theroyalparks.bsky.social 1753
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Here is who I spent time with yesterday at Wisley’s Hilltop. Isn’t he cute? #birdsof2026 #robin It’s the start of a lovely quiet week although who knows what opportunities might arise. 6577
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 27/09/2026🌱 #SundayYellow Full of pollen but looking for more! I took this picture last Sunday in Wisley’s Hilltop World Food Garden. I wonder what I will see today during my volunteering session. It’s set to be a beautiful autumn day with perhaps a chance of some rain later. 🤞 2605
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Two for #postboxSaturday both taken on separate trips to London this week. The first is a very dirty but very old one in West Hampstead and the second, much newer and smarter in Hyde Park complete with a fancy lamppost and beautiful tree. 0291
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 26/09/2026There are a lot and even a white one but pink is the most common. 010
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 26/09/2026🌱 #sixonSaturday from my tiny garden. It has been such a busy week! Two training sessions at Wisley and a Volunteer’s Thank You tea party, three trips to London and a visit to very special friends with lunch on their roof garden. Not much time to garden but the flowers keep coming. 3546
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 25/09/2026🌱 #flowersonFriday Spotted in West Hampstead yesterday, a huge Oleander bush covered in pink flowers. I used to think it was too tender to grow outside in Britain but I have seen a few examples in London this summer, looking beautiful and coping well with the heat and drought. 2618
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 24/09/2026I’m glad it’s not just me! I regularly find eggs in my garden, stamped so from the supermarket. I’m not sure how the fox gets hold of them. 101
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 24/09/2026🌱 #insectThursday I took the picture of flowers in Wisley’s Hilltop World Food Garden but when I looked at it I noticed a critter so zoomed in and this is what was lurking, a Tarnished Plant bug with a heart shape on its back. 1391
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 23/09/2026🌱 #roseWednesday Isn’t this lovely? It was growing in the garden outside St Mary le Strand church in London. Inside the church was the Flower Festival but I think this outshone the displays. Today is the annual Wisley Volunteer Thank you day. We start with activities and then a tea party. 6736
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 22/09/2026🌱 #thicktrunkTuesday Another of Wisley’s “dead” trees which has been left and carved into a celebration of bees. Tour guide training with Jonathan this morning and then to London to see the Flower Festival in St Mary le Strand because of a prompt by @ianvisits.co.uk 3709
Linda @lindacdolan.bsky.social · 21/09/2026I didn’t do a degree but at 42 I went back to studying horticulture and changed from being a teacher. It was the best thing! Enjoy the process! 220
