I’m in DC and just saw about 15 navy soldiers in full dress uniforms in the hotel lobby. They were also carrying a navy flag on a tall pole. I asked what they were going to do and one replied that they were going for a “long run.” In this heat and humidity? Any ideas?

My husband and I are traveling to meet his 55-yo son for the very first time. He was placed for adoption as my husband and the birth mom were just kids in high school. It was a closed adoption but his son found him a year ago. My husband has no other children or family. Dreams really do come true.

Folks, I’m being serious when I ask, what are we going to do to save our democracy? We vote, we protest, we contact our lawmakers, but it seems the Republican cards are stacked against us. A general strike would be the most effective answer but folks can’t afford it in this economy.
