If I do my job correctly, readers never know I was there. Editing. Proofreading. Interiors. Formatting. Metadata. These are just a few of the books I’ve helped bring into the world through Liminal House Press this year, and I’m pretty damn proud of them. #writingcommunity #amediting

Our Editor-In-Chief, Tycho, just finished up another Backerkit campaign. His book was 160% funded and reached a stretch goal. Congrats, Tycho! We apply this same approach to all of our Liminal House authors, so if you want to have someone who's got your back, submit your book!

Publishing is changing. New models are giving authors more flexibility, ownership, and direct connections with readers instead of forcing everyone into one path. That's exactly why Liminal House embraces a hybrid approach. The best part? We aren't a vanity press and won't charge you anything.

TBH we're just doing our best and we love all indie authors <3

Liminal House Press | Publishing for Rebels @liminalhousepress.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

Books are getting more expensive due to rising production costs, inflation, and industry changes. That's one reason indie presses matter—we're committed to making great books worth the investment while championing unique voices. 📚💛 Don't forget to support your indie author friends!

I spent $65 on two books. Is reading becoming a luxury?

As book prices climb, publishers, authors and readers grapple with inflation, changing habits and what a novel is really worth.

Barnes & Noble says it's willing to sell AI-generated books... as long as they're labeled as AI. Which sounds great until you remember the people pumping out AI books have every incentive NOT to disclose it. 🤔 Source:

Barnes & Noble CEO OK selling AI-written books, under one condition

The chain's CEO James Daunt said he has "no problem" selling AI-written books at his stores.

Liminal House Press | Publishing for Rebels @liminalhousepress.bsky.social · 29/05/2026

Totally, but my question to him is what does he do about books that aren't labeled? In the US big companies can't copyright their titles anymore if they've been doctored with AI, but people love to lie. 🙃 I just wish people were honest and we could avoid this all together.

I wish this was a joke, but it's not. The CEO of Barnes and Noble effectively said, "If people don't know it's AI and as long as it's labeled, we'll stock it." Source: www.usatoday.com/story/money/...

The Supreme Court denied copyright protection for AI-generated art AGAIN. I truly do not know how many times people are going to try this before understanding that “generated by a machine” is fundamentally incompatible with human authorship law. No means no.
