Week 1 of the Spookython Subathon is complete! We still have over 190 hours to go, so you’ll see me around the interwebs for quite a while yet 💖

Bald catgirls have a visible uni-cheek: One continuous cheek that wraps around the back of the head from one side of the nose to the other. Now you must live with this knowledge.

The movie is titled “Her 7th story” and it was a hit film with hetero folks who swear they are our allies and “understand our plight” after tragedy strikes in her relationship because queer relationships can’t end happily, apparently

Giving “straight white woman plays a stereotypical butch lesbian in a feature film to the queer community’s dismay, again”

Something to add: If you're opposed to Twitch's GenAI, please show you're also opposed to other GenAI Twitch tools such as FrostyTools and Tangia by not using them! FrostyTools scrapes the raider's profile and chat then uses GenAI to provide a (probably wrong) shoutout. Tangia steals actors' voices!

I want to see more streamers with the "gen AI disabled" badge! After turning off "Training for Generative AI" in your settings, go to safebadge.ori.mx and confirm you are safe from gen AI training (requires Twitch authentication - alternatively put AIOptedOut or NoGenAI in your stream tags/title).

Twitch following list with streamer names blurred out apart from the streamers who have a green "gen AI disabled" badge, that indicates they have turned off generative AI training in their Twitch settings:

- ChiChi
- ProjectC7

While I love interacting with my audience on YouTube, this is why I focus my fundraising efforts on Twitch, Ko-Fi, and affiliate/direct partnered content. These numbers are ridiculous for indies just starting out…

I’m in the midst of a week off from streaming. I got to set up Linux for the stream PC, making all of our PCs Windows-free. On a whim, I installed Need for Speed Underground 2. It’s still one of the best racing games ever made.

It was quite a time, for sure. I always look back fondly at that specific time period in FFXIV. Showed a friend our own videos just the other day, in fact.

Saddened and shocked by this news. Belghast has always been a pillar of the community. In addition to his wonderful writing, he engaged heavily with the community for so many of the games that I've played. He will be sorely missed.

I’ve pretty much moved into the indie space for gaming these days, to be honest. The variety of games are much more enjoyable.

So sorry to hear this, honestly. This part of the housing system is absolutely broken. It makes me feel like I’m being held hostage anytime I want to take a break, and even punishes frequent and active players of the game. It’s past time for it to change.

In the story mission, the player catches a White Mantle Mesmer off guard as they're...hanging out pretty closely with...a clone of Lord Faren.

This is actually implied in-game during a story mission in Season 3! And no, I'm not joking 😆

020

Lily Velour - SPOOKYTHON SUBATHON @lily.velour.social · 11/01/2026

Because of this, I’m going to go ahead and call this misinfo. It is very good to be vigilant about bad behavior by companies regarding your data. I had the same initial reaction most of you had to this post! But it’s important to know how the underlying systems work and properly communicate that.

120

Lily Velour - SPOOKYTHON SUBATHON @lily.velour.social · 11/01/2026

Misinfo: It’s browser based caching, pulled from the audit log (banned users API). It doesn’t hurt to ban the accounts, but they probably aren’t on your server. Here’s a screenshot of me testing this on a server in a cache cleared browser. The first time I ban, it uses IDs. The second time, names.

A screenshot of a test server showing how the ban system works in Discord. Specific details are in the post.

Aaaand it broke again. Garbage. Getting a new keyboard I guess…

010

Lily Velour - SPOOKYTHON SUBATHON @lily.velour.social · 02/01/2026

Update: I bought a soldering iron, used one for the first time in ages, and fixed the dang thing myself. It all seems to be working quite well now. Still wouldn’t recommend this keyboard unless you’re prepared to do that. If you are, there’s better options out there anyways with DIY kits.

110

Lily Velour - SPOOKYTHON SUBATHON @lily.velour.social · 01/01/2026

When added to some really glaring key repeat issues that forced me to update the firmware manually to fix, I can’t recommend this keyboard at this time. Any keyboard recommendations in case this one isn’t salvageable? Swappable mechanical switches and full layout only (no TKL)!
