Silent Hill: Townfall is so far excellent. The instant feeling of "oh, this is a Scottish island" combined with "OH THIS IS SILENT HILL" is very immersive and I'm really loving how scary an NHS prescription bag feels.

Decided to do the "elf" method of writing on my next manuscript. Hire an imaginary elf and smash out a version in 10 days, then come back and fix it later. What could go wrong XD

I’m definitely going to watch that Ray Gunn movie, but I can’t help but be frustrated on behalf of @lilprincesays.com who wrote the rather excellent Ray Gunn and Starburst sci fi sitcom that came out as a podcast a whole decade ago. I’ve no idea how they feel about it, but I’m a bit miffed.

Honestly, it's a bit strange. Not sure if it will drive some traffic to the podcast (maybe I should check if it's available somewhere easy right now coz it's not on Spotify), but I can't be that mad. I think mine is a slightly more interesting story but I would hahaha

That feeling when you're reading a new book and the story starts to feel bigger than the amount of pages in front of you...yeah it's a trilogy. Fuck.

Anyone else just want to give up and go and be in a hole for a while? Many of us? Oh yeah, that seems normal. We can all be in the hole together.

Tried to have a nuanced conversation about trigger warnings. Not sure if we managed it. Vivian had some very interesting data though, and I wondered if we should do more forwards and afterwards in books. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vv2h...

Playing Sovereign Tower, and I had forgotten how much I love a visual novel. It's so fun and I am going to play it a 100 times to make sure I romance EVERYONE.

If we sold just 12 more prints, we’ll be able to have donated over £1,000 to The Sameer Project in Gaza. They’re currently in desperate need of support and have had to pause their food donations due to lack of funds. 100% of the £15 price is donated: polari.press/throw-sand/

Had a lovely chat with @grahamwalmsley.bsky.social on the weekend and it got the little game mechanics wheels in my head creaking into motion and now I have A PLAN. It's a very exciting plan. I...I might be writing my first, full, original rule book. Eee!

I was so pleased to be allowed to create this #ttrpg for the zine. It's not your normal fandom contribution I guess, but it's what I do, so being able to build a simple, d6 system with an easy play adventure for newcomers and old hands who just want a bit of fun for a fandom I love was brilliant.

I wrote a piece on Medieval Revival for Simply Sewing and I can't lie, I love having my name next to a massive picture of Chappel Roan dressed in armour. Like who wouldn't? Plus I got to yap about William Morris and the history of #MedievalRevival for four pages so, that's pretty fun. #medievalism

I've found that in self-publishing before, but I think it would be my end goal which is why I'm wondering how easy it is to approach existing publishers or if it's not worth the hassle and just get going with smaller projects first?
