This is genuinely my favorite movie! Fuller always delivers snappy dialogue and imaginative visuals (the tea shop was incredible), but tossing in an incredibly empathetic take on insecure attachment in foster kids... I teared up more than once!

I was the only one at my office today (by office, I mean old house that's definitely not haunted, when a smoke detector in one of the many locked rooms got the death beeps. I am leaving my work besties a lore accurate depiction of my struggle.

A smoke detector with the battery removed and a quote from the telltale heart beneath it. One clouded googly eye and one standard, for accuracy.

Happy new year, everyone! 2025 was tumultuous, but I'm choosing to focus on the good. I made new friends, took up drawing again, and joined 2 amazing game dev teams. I couldn't have predicted any of it, let alone resolved to accomplish it. Here's hoping 2026 brings brighter days for all of us!

Brainstorming a new in-game magic system with a brilliant team of devs was exactly what I needed to turn my mood around. I'm lucky to work with some very cool teams. It's good to know small indie studios are still dedicated to keeping human art and storytelling alive!

I am very, very happy when people notice echoes of my favorite writers in my prose, but they are only that: echoes. It took years of work to develop my own voice. When you use gen AI, you are not only stealing from the artists you claim to respect, you are robbing yourself of identity.
