The Lovers Now on YouTube! Stunning animation, really vibrant shots and colours. Would have liked to spend more time with the characters but you can tell this movie was a labour of love.

Jawbreaker Can see why it’s a cult favourite: horror comedy with bright 90s flair. Rose McGowen stole every scene, plot I felt was stronger in first half than second half but overall a fun film.

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike A prequel movie that kinda goes against the canon of the game, but really nice animation and glad we got some of the cast of the game back to voice the anime film.

Tales of Vesperia (PS4) My 3rd Tales game, loved the cast - especially the main character, combat was fun and liked the first 2 thirds of the plot, shame it kinda flopped in the last act. Would recommend, I can see why it’s a fan favourite.

House of the Dragon S3 Much better season than S2. Really good acting, some odd story choices but also really good action in the finale.

Miraculous Season 6 An extremely good season with excellent character moments, a heart wrenching emotional arc and good showcase of the new villain. Look forward to S7!

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Heartstopper Forever It’s a cute film that tries to wrap up the story neatly. Not perfect but I liked that they showed that long distance relationships are doable with people on both sides working together.

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 30/08/2026

Harley Quinn S5 Finally seen the last season! I liked the change of location and villains as well. If they made more i’d watch it, but also happy if the series ended here.

7th Time Loop: Short Story Collection A nice book that collects stories from from volumes 1-4 & some unique for this book too. I enjoyed the ones from the side characters the most, as they added to the world, but there were a few cute Rishe/Arnold moments too

Sonic IDW Collections 5 & 6 I can’t believe I’m now up to date on the hardbacks 😭 But these were fantastic! Loved Starline’s rise and fall, Scrapnik island arc, the comic book day issue, and Sonic’s emotional journey too. Now to wait for the next hardback…next year 😱

But I’m a Cheerleader Been meaning to watch this queer cult classic for a while and I enjoyed it! Bright colour palette with serious subject matter and comedy tone worked, with a sweet ending. There’s many great actors I recognised from other shows and movies here too.

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Magical Karina I didn’t vibe with this book at all; art style is nice but the clashing of dark themes and magical girl vibes just didn’t work here, no consistency with the enemies or characterisation. Shame, I don’t recommend.

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Handsome Girl and Sheltered Girl Collection This was a birthday present and a good one too 🥰 The first half plays up the comedy of the situation whereas the second half plays out quite differently but very sweetly, recommend!

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Voices in the Sea Form An impulse purchase as I like mermaids but it was a sweet Yaoi book. Some odd choices towards the end but I liked the art, the fact that it’s written as a sequel to the original Hans Christian tale, and the relationship progression.

Long Live the Pumpkin Queen Graphic Novel I read the novel a few years back, the graphic novel is a faithful adaptation and visually translates the new worlds and characters beautifully. I might continue this series actually as there’s apparently more books?

The Pitt Season 1 I’ve heard so many good things about this series and it did not disappoint! We’re also up to date on season 2 (in the UK they’re releasing eps weekly). It’s well acted, intense, gripping medical drama.

Happy birthday to my favourite video game franchise. I’ve known and loved you since I was 3 years old with your first game in 1991. You’ve been with me at important steps of my life as well, thank you for that. Here’s to another 35 years! 💙 #happybirthdaysonic #35thAnniversary

Beetlejuice the Musical IT FINALLY CAME TO THE UK!!! Hilarious musical. It’s quite a different take on the original whilst having a lot of similar elements. Absolutely worth the wait, go see if you haven’t yet and enjoyed the original.

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered I only played a bit of TR1 as a kid, so glad I got to finally play these. Not sure if I’ll continue as I didn’t enjoy TR3 much, but atmosphere, music and Lara Croft as a character were great. TR1 is personal fav of the bunch

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

The Boys Final Season It was overall enjoyable even if there were a few things I didn’t click with (like Gen V adding to nothing and Solider Boys depowering skill not foreshadowed well). Homelander and Butchers’ endings made sense and I will miss these characters

100

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

Gen V S2 Not as good as S1 but still enjoyable, it was a bit slow to get the plot going but did enjoy the villain twist and seeing more of the main character’s powers. Too bad it’s been cancelled and the plot didn’t really affect The Boys in any meaningful way 🫠

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/06/2026

Battle for the Pumpkin King Graphic novel I liked the art, the designs of young Jack and such were good too, but the story was very safe and paint by numbers. I wouldn’t read it again.

I played Signalis earlier in the year, spent months watching all the video essays I could find, and decided to get the platinum (so play on hard made and die a bunch). Today I got it, and safe to say, I love this game.

Hubby and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary at the Beetlejuice musical! We hoped for years it would come to the UK and it did not disappoint! Great humour, fun music and the cast were brilliant. Go and see if you love the original film 💜💚

Rose of Versailles vol 1 Took me months but finally checked out the first volume 😅 it’s quite different from the recent film, there’s more POVs outside the main females & the royal court. I would live more from Oscar in future volumes

Super Mario Galaxy Movie Animation was stunning, music very good and some great cameos but the plot was…fine, just little like ‘and then this happened and then this’ without emotional weight. It’s cotton candy fun; nice but not much depth

Sarah Rawlings @lilithdarkstorm.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

Invincible season 4 Very good: brutal action, good character arcs and the finale leaves the series in a very interesting place. I look forward to see where it goes in season 5

Signalis (PS4) Got the Promise, Artefact and Memory endings. I did struggle with the item management (thankfully the new patch adds more spots) but the story is profound and excellent, with unique visual design and one of the best game OSTs in history. Highly recommended!

The Chaotix Casefiles Podcast Really entertaining and fun, it’s lovely to see the side characters get more screen time and be involved in the plot. The framing device allowed for creativity as well. Would love to hear more experiments from the Sonic Team!

Companion I went in knowing one of the twists but blind to the rest, and luckily the movie had a lot going for it. Cool premise, great acting, and fun script. I watched this right after A Quiet Place, very different in terms of tone but still excellent.

A Quiet Place I knew this was a horror franchise but didn’t know anything about the story so went in blind. Fantastic script, the premise was simple but horrifying. All actors were amazing. Not sure if it needed a sequel but might check out anyways?

Doctor Who S8-10 (12th Doctor Run) I dropped DW mid 11th Doctor but decided to go back & watch what I missed after jumping back in via Ncuti. Peter Capaldi grew on me as the seasons went on & I really loved his portrayal of the Doctor. He had some amazing eps, would recommend.
