A record of the Fission Yeast Laboratory Course, China 2026 is now online (lilindu.github.io/2026-pombe-course/). Eight days of lectures, wet experiments, and AI-assisted bioinformatics at NIBS, Beijing. At least 20 groups in China now work with fission yeast.

We recently published a chapter on an improved Pil1 co-tethering assay for detecting protein-protein interactions in fission yeast (pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39527195/). A draft is available at yeast.nig.ac.jp/yeast/pdf/Pi.... The plasmids for this assay can be obtained from NBRP and Addgene.
