The second Black Friday cookbook purchase finally arrived! An Italian cookbook this time. It has 2000+ recipes. It’s refreshing to see short recipes with basic directions and ingredients. Looking forward to making food from it!

Spend New Years break in Oslo, Norway. It was a beautiful spa hotel, with lovely views from the room. I spent most of the time reading and relaxing. Restaurants didn’t allow mobile phones, which made it extremely easy to disconnect.

And final day of fancy eating over the holidays. Sous vide butter poached lobster, broccolini and failed Dauphinoise potatoes. I also made the best beurre blanc sauce, it was perfection in terms of consistency and flavour. It was my first time so it was clearly beginners luck.
