Oh my! The valuation is through the roof!

Bit over 50 (!) white-cheek geese dining on stretch of grass between sidewalk and row of boats. The boats are all on stands. Sky is clear and long shadows are cast over the grass and sidewalk. The grass has a lining of yellow leaves on it, apparently the geese value what ever is under the leaves.

Sun! Testing Jolla camera.. straight towards sun. #JollaPhone2026

Shot through park straight towards sun, which blinds part of the screen and covers part with two wide sunrays. Sea is shining in the distance, while trees are throwing long dark shadows on the green grass covering almost half of the picture.

I see exit-strategy in play. These are white-cheek geese (Branta leucopsis).

Bunch of white-cheek geese, with only their backsides visible, heading from park area to parking lot that has orange-white van parked right in front of the geese. The grass and asphalt in front of the picture is shadowed by tress partially.

What's the valuation here? Must be through the roof!

Bunch of white-cheek geese on grass field having dinner. The downward-sloping grass has small white flowers in it, and is surrounded by few small trees, which are offering not much of shadow. On top of the picture, across the street is a marine equipment store with parking lot in front of it.

Did I say the nettles were producing well this year?

Sea of dark green nettles with ray of sun lighting up the middle of the picture.

Nettles are producing plenty this year. I'm getting ideas of nettle-pancake... will bring couple bags next time I'm around here.

Sundrenched light green nettle bushes, very fresh and new plants, just grown to full size.

The geese have taken over part of the park.

Big flock of white-cheek geese have taken over part of the park, sun is almost bleaching out the grass, too much light for the camera. Besides grass there are couple trees casting shadows with treeline creating the background.

Southside is peaceful, some small birds snacking in the shallow waters, some bigger ones chilling out on the outer rocks.

Small bay, blue sky, calm waters with a large island in disatance. The picture is framed by leafless tress on both sides, the front of the picture is last years seaweed and rocks. The whole coast is very rocky and this part is no exception.

On my walkabout today I spotted four swans and some other birbs, likely after their dinner.

Picture of ice, rock and water; in front is wave-breaker made out of boulders, covered mostly in ice. On the outer side is ice-free zone with just some bits floating, while further in the scene ice covers water again. In horizon there is an dark island, mostly covered in snow. In the free water near wave-breaker there are four swans moving about.

I wonder if there is any way to tell these guys to slow down.

Small chili, salad and basil sproutlings growing in round holes in a black plastic germination container. The holes are filled with reddish color planting matter. There are total of four by six holes and a thermometer is in middle of the picture, in end of black cable.

Races are off to good start with Team Jalopeno (third row from bottom) taking the lead. Other chilies (three topmost rows) are just about to get started. Salads and Basils (two bottom rows) are on their own group.

Small light green sproutlings reaching out from reddish material, in 24 round holes in a black plastic container. There is thermometer in end of black cable, middle of the screen.

South side is calm, plenty of activity on ice.

View over small bay in southern Lauttasaari. Thin slivers of very high gray clouds are barely visible on the sky that changes colors from yellow near horizon to darkish blue near top, pastel colors everywhere between. Ground is covered in well trampled snow, people are moving around in the ice with one kite-skiier visible against dark woods of the island, which is just a dark sliver in horizon.

Low sun, was very nice weather today :)

Low, yellow sun shining through part in western Lauttasaari. Ground is covered in snow, slightly reflecting sun. Sky color changes from yellow near horizon to light blue in top. Park is filled with trees, of which only dark outlines are visible.

Kun täytyy saada viimeisetkin rippeet hunajapurkista, siihen on monia keinoja, esim:

Hunajapurkki lasisella induktioliedellä joka on upotettuna tummaan puutasoon. Hunajapurkissa on tee-sihti joka on täytettynä Roiboos:illa. Purkki on täynnä tummanpunaista Roiboosta. Purkin etiketissä lukee "Hunajaa Airakselasta - Pientila Bartos - Hirvonmäki".

Some preparations for next event, and umm.. there is a bit of product placement :)

A "gingerbread house" sitting on round platform with two layers of rope going around the platform. The house has light inside it, with light coming through translucent material. The house is on round sofa table with two honeyjars in front of it. Left one is classic hexagonal glass jar, the right one is a glass teddy-bear with lid forming thin hat with square white and yellow texture. Both have labels "Hunajaa Airakselasta" and "Pientila Bartos". Background is formed by television sitting on low stand and large leaves of Monstera Deliciosa and some small leaved others.

Good weekend, met a friend that I saw last time fours years ago. Lots of purring :)

Orange-white cat sitting in my lap, blue sofa visible on left side, wooden floor and round sofa table with thin metal feet in front. The cat has very calm face and frontpaws pulled a bit in.

A bit more light towards Hernesaari:

Dark picture, lights from the terminals in Hernesaari and Jätkäsaari are reflecting from sea and low hanging white clouds which cover most of the sky, only bit of blue-gray sky is visible from between clouds in left. On right side a wavebreaker made from large stones sits in the dark, middle of calm waters.
