Quick tutorial I whipped up for a friend! Maybe someone here will find it useful

Image is a tutorial with four steps. I’m attempting to draw a stylized purple smoke over a light gray background.

Image text: How to do smoke in Procreate. 1) Use freehand selection tool to make squiggles in a curling shape. 2) With a textured eraser (I used Penzance) lighten the smoke farthest from its source. 3) using a tapered brush, add details that compliment the line of action. 4) Clean it up! Cut up the silhouette. The world is your oyster. Then you can play with opacity and other settings.

Self-portraits 2008-2010. The difference between these drawings is two art classes and a couple hundred sketch pages

A timid graphite self-portrait of a girl. The features are very carefully drawn but their placement is off.

A ballpoint pen self-portrait, hair now chopped off in a pixie. The lines are much more accurate and confident.

It arrived! I now own a compiled book of Punch issues from 1919. Those illustrations are full of so much charm

My beautiful messy rubberhose daughter

An old comic idea about kitsune granting modern wishes! Got the idea during my stint in Japan.
