Gotta say listening to a hockey game on the radio (because I don't have ESPN) when your team is starting the season with 7 new guys in the lineup is quite the challenge... Someday a politician will force teams/leagues to offer team subscriptions that include all games & that person will be a hero.

That ending to the USA vs Chile friendly was crazy... I still think the guy who kicked the goaltender - even if it was a slight tap - should have been ejected. Down two goals in the final minute, that was extremely poor gamesmanship.

Days like today, I'm glad my commute is about 10 feet away. For about 20 years, my commute was an hour in various directions. I heard a lot of music on Sirius/XM, but hated the drive. I do so much each day in the commuting time I no longer have...

If I was a hockey coach I'd be like Herb Brooks making half of the team do sprints up and down the ice until they were dead tired. Then I'd have them play defense against a rested group with the goal being able to get the puck out of the zone without icing it...

It's hard to believe it took me nearly two months, but the website coding is finally finished! Everything is working well and it's such a relief. The plan is to try focusing on a feature to improve coding wise each month, but the day to day stuff is finally completed!

Bayern Munich wins on the road, but the rotation once again did not go as smoothly as you'd like. We should be able to rotate players & play our normal game, but so far this year rotation has not brought out great performances - whether from the guys getting a chance or the regulars.

Due to poor weather, my town's 4th of July fireworks were bumped to today as sort of a Labor Day weekend kickoff. I didn't get to the beach to see them, but was able to see much of the show from my dining room. Here's a little clip. #belmar

Today was a terrific day coding wise. I've got a lot of pages to test tomorrow, but I think I've finally got everything set up properly. Scripts are running without any errors or warnings. It may have taken me a month to learn, but I finally can write the code instinctually.

I have no idea what this means, if anything, but... we have just one fast food restaurant and a bagel shop advertising in the Valpak coupons sent to us lately. There used to be several restaurants and was a good way to find new restaurants to try.

Not sure why it happened or who did it, but a segment of our fence was just fixed! We were going the segment have it replaced because tree roots had started growing into it, bending the fence. Either the town or the person who owns the lot it borders just fixed it for us :)

Big plans for the business today. Sending out a marketing postcard to theatres and setting up a new php script from scratch to load articles. With so much coding work recently, I realized it's better to design a new setup than try to adapt what I've been using for years.

I'm in the process of migrating my website to a new mysql database. Got it designed today. It has 40 fields - up from 24 in my previous one. Was hoping to switch over today, but realized I need to figure out how to use the new data first. I've got one article set to test on.

Just ONCE I'd like to see Germany play a knockout game without any controversy... VAR should really do a coin flip on 50/50 calls like the overturned German goal because that's what it is - pure luck. You either are lucky to get the call overturned or unlucky to lose a goal.
