It was fantastic to see the Blean Bison Project run by Wildwood Trust and @kentwildlife.bsky.social featured as part of the programme. This gave delegates the opportunity to learn directly from the team working with bison and to discuss the practical realities, opportunities and challenges involved.

🦬 🌿 What does it take to make large herbivores part of the future of Britain’s landscapes?  That was one of the big questions explored at the inaugural Large Herbivore Working Group conference at @kent.ac.uk, where Lifescape's Managing Lawyer Stephanie Smith gave a talk on ‘kept-wild’.

We're delighted to share that we've entered into a conservation covenant with @rspb.bsky.social at Lakenheath Fen. This remarkable site is restoring rare fen habitats that support wildlife and store carbon, while Biodiversity Net Gain sales will fund its ongoing management for the next 30 years.
