With the available pictures in the broadcast, there’s no way the VAR team could see Williams touching the ball with his hand. It’s speculative, at best. Spurs were very lucky to get away with poor defending (again)

In Indonesia, you can get 5 years of prison time for suggesting to use Google’s laptops, yet you get to become President after killing thousands of innocent East Timorese citizens as well as kidnapping political activists.

News that got drowned out. Doesn’t matter if you think the Chromebook programme “failed”, neither Ibam nor Nadiem made any personal gains from the programme (a fact proven during court proceedings). Makes you think whether there’s a malevolent force behind the scenes tirto.id/pt-dki-perbe...

I don’t like the PL’s new injury protocol. Wieffer clearly discombobulated after getting hit in the face by the ball from a short distance but can’t be treated bc he’ll risk his team playing w/ only 10. Had this been worse, he would’ve played the rest of the game w/ a concussion

Ideally, Jakarta should build their LRT Jakarta on top of the old Sudirman/Karet stations, redirecting KRL trains to BNI City. If people complain, it’ll be bc “it’s too hot” or “we have to walk more”, which are frankly irrelevant to the main goal: improving rail infrastructure
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 30/08/2026
I’m convinced everyday Jakartans don’t fully understand how bunched up & developmentally behind Jakarta’s rail infrastructure is. Just today KAI announced Karet station will be discontinued, and yet people are complaining based on completely irrelevant things

Dammit Jaissle scares me. I knew he’d be a massive upgrade from Howe when he was hired considering how well he did in Asia. But that spirit & nous to smartly exploit weaknesses with timing is highly rare. Almost predator-like: sharp, efficient, physical.

Remember, the referees didn’t award a penalty when Arsenal played at SJP last season with a similar sequence as seen today at Anfield. Almost everyone agreed that’s a penalty wrongfully annulled. Therefore, Forest getting a penalty today shouldn’t come with any backlash

I like this new feature bc it was pretty clear that there was contact b/w Alisson’s diving hand & Williams. Whether you think it’s a penalty or not is a separate question, but in the current interpretation of the rules, it should be a penalty

If Arsenal give in to the fans & continue to try to get a LW in up till the window’s closure, those same fans shouldn’t be surprised the club end up doing a fire sale
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 29/08/2026
There’s no point continuing to pursue a player who’s too egoistic & stubborn to move to anywhere else other than his “dream club”, especially with the window closing in 2 days. Therefore, Arsenal fans should be happy the club don’t want Alvarez anymore!

Arsenal fans moaning about a “poor transfer window” when they don’t even realise: - They have plenty of players who can naturally play as wingers. - The team still lack a set of 10’s. - It was set at the start of the window that a Saliba backup & DM were priorities.

If you want to see change happen in Indonesia, you have to make sure there’s a working opposition in Parliament. Right now, every politician is working for the administration. When Gerindra was in opposition to PDIP, Indonesia made huge amounts of economic & social progress-

Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Imagine what would happen if Indonesia had a proper opposition, one that speaks up to the administration’s failings. At least, we’d have politicians who’d sympathise & support the protestors instead of this bullshit “gotong royong” politics in Parliament
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 28/08/2026
Two years of protests in Jakarta, two deaths by either the armed forces or an organisation linked with the political scene. Meanwhile, the administration hasn’t changed since the inauguration, bc there’s no one in Indonesia’s Parliament who dares to speak up!

They’re outsiders. Mafia thugs with deep political backing. They’re people the regime uses to intimidate locals & paint protestors in a bad light. Honestly, I won’t be surprised if the President uses this case as an example of “August violence” even though it’s his own men x.com/txtdrimedia/...

Politically backed cooperatives (ormas) are bullies. Bc of their political support, they’re essentially the thugs mafias use to intimidate & force the population into submission. There has never been a case where an ormas has done good for the country nor the local community

Key phrase here: “after several of the protest groups have left”. These aren’t real protesters stoking violence & wreaking havoc. These are anarchists paid for by the gov’t to seed doubt into people’s minds that demanding justice always leads to violence when that’s purely false!

Today’s demonstrations in front of Indonesian Parliament feel scripted bc nothing concrete nor meaningful was truly solved. Peaceful during the day, violent at nightfall. Almost like something out of Les Miserables, but orchestrated by the ruling elites

Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
I hope Arsenal stop their pursuit of Julian Alvarez soon. It’s great to have another SS on the team to supplement Havertz/Gyökeres, but Arsenal already have Merino, Nwaneri, Saka, and Odegaard (to an extent) who fill that role in many games. It’s not worth the effort with the time left in the window
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
This may be unrealistic, but I do worry Al Hilal’s approach for Ollie Watkins means they won’t be hot on their pursuit of Martinelli, even though Arsenal should offload plenty of players before the window closes in a few days!
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 27/08/2026
Liverpool get Barcola and, therefore, can finally have a set of wingers who can operate as such efficiently. Arsenal could’ve gotten him, especially bc of Martinelli’s departure, but in truth, Arsenal still need to invest in a #10 bc that’s a profile they’re still short on

Every time I see the clip of Prabowo arriving at NTT, I’m seeing parallels with 1940s Europe, and it scares me to death. The historical patterns are too obvious to ignore. Political programmes & events being used as propaganda to glorify the regime, while citizens’ needs continue to be ignored.

Respect to the demonstrators for coming out to voice their frustrations directly at Parliament. But if we’re really honest with ourselves, up till this point, where’s the “major security threat” the police & embassies warned us about? 📷: wibisono.ari

So many voices will hate this, especially a good portion of Arsenal fans, but not getting an attacker is very sensible from Arteta & Arsenal’s Board. People forget how explosive & creative Eze can be at LW, plus Arsenal would be better off buying a #10, i.e., a profile they don’t have elite yet
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 24/08/2026
I said after yesterday Newcastle need a #6 as competition to Steur. Nico Gonzalez isn’t the best, but he’s a step up from Steur that the latter can certainly learn from. What an acquisition!
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
Many will focus on Iraola & Liverpool’s shortcomings, but few will talk about Jaissle’s impact to this Newcastle team. As physical as Howe’s tactics but with far better structure across game states. Would make leaps if they can get an experienced #6 to challenge Steur
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
Newcastle were unlucky to lose the win. Conceded a soft last-minute penalty that wouldn’t be given in another game. Liverpool created chances but were seriously open in defensive transition, which is something most PL teams will exploit.
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
Newcastle don’t have a #6. Yes, Steur can play there but he’s young & still error prone. You can give him time to mature but you’ll need a regular partner alongside to have a strong midfield base
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
Liverpool are still open on the wide channels, especially during the counters, mainly bc of relying on CBs for cover. Surprised that even with Iraola, Liverpool are showing the same weakness. The only reason Newcastle aren’t effectively exploiting them is bc Osula has an injury
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
Said preseason how Newcastle will have a breath of fresh air bc Jaissle is a clear upgrade from Howe. That first 45 minutes shows you just how much better Jaissle is in setting his team up to exploit an opponent’s weakness. Newcastle will be back this season.
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
95 MILLION BASE?! Sure he’s one with so much potential & could definitely reach 100m+ valuation, but he’s definitely not worth that much now

Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 23/08/2026
All this happening with the backdrop of gov’t incompetence to deal w/ KNOWN disasters as well as a threat of mass demonstrations in coming midweek. Bear in mind these accounts were blocked without any legal precedence, just a “legal request” (read: no warrant!)

If Brentford keep the majority of their squad fit throughout the season, they will get UCL. Tactically astute but also have the playing desire to force luck onto their hands. The latter is vital to qualify for UCL when your squad isn’t on the same level as last season’s top 5
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Even when you consider Savinho & Marmoush joining Spurs, they wouldn’t get a sniff of top-table finish if they played like they did today. No control over the ball, no movement in the final 3rd. But how can you fix a team can’t even execute your tactics to perfection?
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Regardless of the result, I need that clip of Senesi clearly pulling Collins down by pulling his shirt throughout a long throw sequence. They said PL referees are going to clamp down on those types of holdings, but VAR didn’t even bother to look at the incident
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
I’ll be curious to see de Zerbi’s choice of halftime subs. Your midfield isn’t setting control nor leading the counter press, your CF isn’t holding the ball reliably, and your whole RHS is nowhere near the level required to reliably track their opposite numbers.
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
The story of Spurs: high potential, big promise, but ultimately are the architects of their own downfall. Brentford are showing their class while Spurs can’t even orient a M2M press properly nor deal with crosses despite having a 4v3
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
I’m certain United will get their wins as the season goes on. On another day, they’d be dominating Hull, especially after taking off Tielemans & Santos. But if they want to challenge for the PL title, whoever you start, you can’t concede from set-pieces that easily
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
United’s IP model is fine. They have enough quality to exploit spaces & control games. Even the stats back them. They’ll get results as the season goes on. But the model implies being reliant on winning duels instead of balancing that w/ manipulating defenders to create space
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
United are getting their chances & they’re growing into the game. But if you can’t win your duels in a set-piece, especially away at promoted sides, you will consistently concede. Arsenal experienced this at Brentford in 21/22, United are facing this now at Hull
010
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
You can refuse to care as a football fan, but you can’t deny that set-pieces decide games. United have been physically & tactically undone by two well-executed set-pieces. For a team with high ambitions, it’s frankly awful that United would concede 2 goals that easily
010

Indonesia’s environmental problem is an incentives problem. There’s never been political incentives to develop naturally resilient communities & support environmental conservation. As a result, many Indonesians believe wildfires are the norm when they never should be
010
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
The Indonesian President going to Kalimantan to assess the raging wildfires should happen without pressure. The fact that it took 48-72 hours to do that implies his priorities are frankly elsewhere
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 22/08/2026
Bear in mind that Indonesia spends more of its national budget to prepare for executive political visits instead of helping support its citizens & their environment. This is where your taxes are going to: in service of a totalitarian King.
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 21/08/2026
In Western Europe, the drying Rhine & Maas have forced local politicians to reconvene & plan for environmental resilience. Meanwhile, even though the same thing is happening in Indonesia, not a single word of action has come from its politicians. Disgraceful.
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 21/08/2026
With every new disaster befallen upon an Indonesian region outside Java, the idea of separation becomes more appealing. These regions are still reliant on central gov't assistance, even when Jakarta politicians only watch from afar, getting drunk on corrupted, exploited wealth
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 21/08/2026
With the wildfire & haze raging through Kalimantan, IKN appears more & more to be a lost cause. The potential was good enough, the budget was appropriated, there was enough economic support. But how can you move your capital to an island you're actively letting people burn down?
000
Eldi @lifeofeldi.bsky.social · 21/08/2026
Indonesia has ministers for forestry & the environment. Each of these ministries are gov't laughing stocks bc all they do is get embroiled in corruption scandals & give illegal land-clearance licenses to their business pals. They're ultimately useless to everyday Indonesians.
