La Kraft durch Freude (KdF, literalmente "Fuerza a través de la alegría") fue una organización política nazi que existió entre 1933 y 1945 dedicada a la tarea de estructurar, vigilar y uniformar el tiempo libre de la población alemana en la Alemania nazi, parte del Deutsche Arbeitsfront ("Frente Alemán del Trabajo"), sindicato unificado dependiente del estado nacionalsocialista. La KdF, concebida como medio propagandístico para exaltar las virtudes del Nazismo, se unió con la autoridad estatal de viajes y organizaba viajes terrestres y marítimos, siendo la agencia de viajes más importante de la Alemania nazi y pronto se convirtió en la más grande del mundo en los años 1930.

Bruh... Diese Argumentation kommt mir langsam schon fast psychopathisch vor 🤦🏻‍♀️ Wie wäre es damit, dass Niemand um Asyl betteln muss und JudInnen und eigentlich jeder Mensch sich sicher fühlen können, egal wo sie leben...? (und die Antwort danach 🫠🤌)

Für uns muss es darum gehen, dass nie wieder irgendein Jude in der Welt um Asyl betteln muss. Der einzige Schutz davor ist die Existenz eines Staates Israel. Wenn wir fordern, dass sich dieser Staat so transformieren muss, dass er am Ende kein jüdischer Staat mehr ist, dann kann das dazu führen, dass Juden eines Tages wieder um Asyl betteln müssen. Das lehnen wir ab.

Might renewables come to the rescue? ‘Much as they would like to, they can’t take the sun away’, said one official I queried in 2025. China has recently been financing solar projects throughout the country, and it is imaginable that the situation could be transformed relatively quickly: in 2023 total electricity generated amounted to 54,304 MWh per day, of which just 457.5 MWh, 0.8%, came from solar, but solar capacity is now apparently 3250 MWh per day – a 610% increase in just a couple of years. While still a fairly small part of what is needed (about 6% of the 2023 total), this figure is forecast to triple, at minimum, by 2030, putting solar at around 18% of the total. The combined share of renewables in the energy mix had already risen significantly, to 5.2% by 2021. While not yet an energy revolution, there are thus signs here that a relatively rapid transition may be possible, with solar increasingly filling the gap left by non-sovereign sources of energy. It may be that the current energy crisis thus represents a pivotal juncture in US-Cuba relations, between the chokepoint of Venezuelan oil-dependence and a green alternative to it.

By converting part of his capital into labour-power, the capitalist augments the value of his entire capital. He kills two birds with one stone. He profits, not only by what he receives from, but by what he gives to, the labourer. The capital given in exchange for labour-power is converted into necessaries, by the consumption of which the muscles, nerves, bones, and brains of existing labourers are reproduced, and new labourers are begotten. Within the limits of what is strictly necessary, the individual consumption of the working class is, therefore, the reconversion of the means of subsistence given by capital in exchange for labour-power, into fresh labour-power at the disposal of capital for exploitation.
