It's a bloody kick in the teeth to announce this on the conference's "Climate and Nature Day". Is conference, are the members, a joke to HQ? If this party can't see that this is a stupid policy that we do nothing to attract and only alienate then I doubt there is a single braincell in HQ.

The straw that broke the camel's back for me was having this AI slop video served to me on the "Discover" page and seeing the amount of engagement. It's good enough to fool a glance, but fails at even the smallest interrogation. Are the people who engaged that disengaged or do they even exist?
A post on Bluesky from an account called "ContempraInn" with the handle @contemprainn.bsky.social with the caption "Sweet Cat [cat emoji] helps rescues the hen's chick [chick emoji] #caturday"

It is then followed by a likely AI generated video of a cat "rescuing" a chick from a crack in concrete.

The engagement on the post is one thousand reposts, six thousand three hundred likes and 230 saves.

This is what Zack Polanski is up against. Though knowing his outwards personality, I doubt he will be willing to take on the label of "chicken" over a seat that the Greens would have been eyeing up before the change in fortunes.

Update on the "Boosted" AI slop scams on "X". They are trying to make me believe that Lewis Hamilton (?) snubbed a handshake from the Governor of the Bank of England.

Just mentioning social care in a manifesto does not constitute "campaigning". Also, here is the 2005 Lib Dem manifesto calling for "free personal care" (social care) so it is bollocks that the Greens have been "consistently ahead" of all the other parties.

Lets see how that turned out for Ian...
The headline in the I paper "Starmer’s sad little spectacle reminded us how unfit he was for the top job" with the subheading "In the end, it turned out the PM ultimately just wasn't that interested in politics".

It was published by Ian Dunt on the 15th July 2026

Let us remember the last time that Ian Dunt described a Labour PM as "radical".
A headline from the I paper reading "Finally, we've got a radical agenda from the government" with the subheading "This is one of the most far-reaching governance projects we've seen in our lifetime". It is joined by an image of Starmer and Rayner in hi vis.

it was published on the 14th Dec 2024 by Ian Dunt.

Resilience is being built, and has been built long before the energy shocks. The issue is that grid level installations of both solar and wind take a long time with annoying things like planning, engineering, installation and grid connection. Though we still rely on gas for around 30% of our energy

Please can the Green Party at least try and be serious. This is quite clearly not the case and the four images below show that.

RJ Barker, the person I quoted in my original post has blocked me. Here is a screenshot of the post.

They've finally run out of toffs to stand as PM, your name has been pulled from the hat, what's your one (1) manifesto pledge?
Let's assume UBI, PR & tax/eat the rich are standard. I want your petty policies, your extremely personal grudges, your old man yells at cloud laws.

RJ Barker @rjbarker.bsky.social

I'd make a year living and working on the minimum wage with no outside help mandatory for all politicians.

Any suggestion of this should be replied to with this picture. It is only going to go in one direction and any attempt to stop it will be messy, embarrassing and completely unnecessary.

This is a few years old from Onward, but it does give a good indication as to part of the issue. Liberalism is a philosophy based on mutual trust and mutual trust has a correlation to financial security.

Logged back into my Twitter account to see how the algorithm viewed me after a long time away. Was immediately served this "boosted" post that was fronted by an AI image of a situation that literally never happened. Social media is as much a curse to the old as the young.
A screenshot of a "boosted" tweet from Landen Velix, an account with a blue tick.

It has the caption "You can tell it lets the moment sit as it is" and the link has the title "How Nigel Farage Exposed the Bank of England's Elite..."

The image is an AI generated image of Farage aggressive standing and pointing across the BBC Question Time desk at a generic man in a dark suit who is holding his hands up in defence.

It directs to a website called "daveshobbymart.com"

This article by @youngvulgarian.marieleconte.com, is slowly becoming my evergreen reply to the growing societal depression that we are falling into. www.newstatesman.com/comment/2023...
A headline of a New Statesman article reading "Will any politician let us have fun?"

The subheading reads "After misery piled on misery, we deserve better than calorie counts on alcohol"

The byline reads "My Marie Le Conte"

The associated image is a cartoon of people walking away from the camera position, each holding a grey cloud like a balloon. Except one, who is holding a rainbow in a similar fashion.

I'm sure running the largest local authority in Europe which has just gone bankrupt with a council where no party has more than 1/4 of the councillors is going to go very well.

Then why does the imprint contain the name of the Green Party candidate, their agent and the address that they are using for the by-election? So not only is it shoddy and misleading data visuals it is also devoid of any branding despite being paid for by the Green Party.
