Perhaps dreams are what you make of them?

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 25/07/2026

Ordered dreamweavers are typically disciplined and can help structure collective dreams from the miasma of others. Those deep in Oblivion tend to seat in nightmares, and know the pains of wretchedness. Whether you weave a calamity for many, or guide them through will depend on your own navigation.

@reverie.house is not a project. It's a home, within our wild mindscape.

Have been contemplating feeds more since we started Quiet Mindscape and imagined one that shows replies to things you liked, as a means to keep up with conversation and returning to interesting posts. Does anything like that exist yet?

011

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/05/2026

Ah. I feel like this has gotten far away from the purpose of this thread. @lorekeeper.calicococoa.ca keep at it! The world needs more witchy writers.

020

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/05/2026

Ah, so the intention is that there's a "seed" rather than every branch being one just itself? This is to control the rate of stories being started?

100

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/05/2026

Very nice! Yes, tall trees are ideal. Does mine conform properly to your standards? Let us know if there's anything we need to support you better.

100

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/05/2026

Ah, like the word counts? That's what drove @lore.farm to support bsky.app for short narrative bits, branchline.ink for branching prompts, and standard.site for larger story additions. Rigidity stifles creativity, so options help when barriers can't be removed. Extended a branch myself yesterday.

Ah interesting, it seems to be missing some content? Maybe it's not capturing all the records outside of the site? Both reverie.house and lore.farm have fully integrated it, and there are branchline records that I'm aware of, but aren't on the site. Perhaps it's slightly more used than you realize?

🗓 DAY 167 Dreamweaver Pablo says, "Unfortunately, we live in a society too lazy to create and too obedient to question." and I am inclined to agree. Though, what about their dreams, which take no effort at all? Perhaps there is no trying for a better world... only taking part as it happens.

Now that there are so many dreamweavers at reverie.house, it's interesting to see where they all come from. Also, curious to see how few are Assertive or Prepared, yet so many Guarded and Chaotic.

Tinkering with some efficiencies for the Quiet Mindscape feed. Since we offered it, there's been a bit more demand on our little @reverie.house than expected. Sorry if it's not quite stable, but will be better soon!

Check again and let me know if it's better now? Was tweaking so that long time non-posters get a bit more lenience on the day they return. Should be working again.

100

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 23/04/2026

In a perfect world, everyone makes their own. We shouldn't need feed providers at all.

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/04/2026

It should catch those automatically, via new fetch. Only way a long-absent poster gets skipped is if they show up and then pull a @psingletary.com flood on their first day back. So long as a poster restrains to ~1 per day, they're quiet imho. Let me know of any specific rules you think of?

120

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/04/2026

Folks in dismay of the Quiet Posters feed who want an alternative can now use Quiet Mindscape from @reverie.house It will surface everyone you follow whom posts about once per day or less, and ignores any replies. Feel free to enjoy it.

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/04/2026

Set to show users you follow, whom post about once per day. Also ignores replies. Is that all it needs to do?

120

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/04/2026

Well... it was not as easy as I thought! I overestimated skyfeed capabilities. It's kinda impossible unless you're self-hosting, and running a bunch of other backend, but gave it a shot nonetheless. Could you take a look and see if it's satisfactory? Happy to tweak it a little, if it's helpful.

120

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 22/04/2026

This 'issue' with Quiet Posters can (and should) push more folks into creating their own feeds. Never understood the need for feed authorities when we can all create our own feeds with more personalized controls.

This is the first @branchline.ink post at reverie.house and you can write the next chapter of it yourself, carry the story forward. Additions are canonized through @lore.farm, extending our living story as a collective. Perhaps one day the final chapter will be written, and printed for our library.

020

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 21/04/2026

Hmm, not immediately. Though, perhaps consider a means to 'seal' the story? We deal a lot with canonization, and conclusion is a valuable part of that. Would be worthwhile to call a branchline finished, and then surface the completed work at reverie.house/library. Who gets to decide that, though?

110

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 21/04/2026

It depends on your intent. The record is well structured as an 'exquisite corpse' and we already find it quite a fun concept. Also enjoy that stories and their extensions can surface wherever supported. Though, we find that it's better to let creatives produce when inspiration strikes. No waiting.

110

Libre @libre.reverie.house · 21/04/2026

There's an interesting challenge with #atproto where, because all records are self-controlled your 24hr limiter is hard to enforce. Added support for branches in reverie.house but there's no way to stop users from posting freely. Still, a really great fit for what we already do with @lore.farm

🗓 DAY 142 She took a headcount near the front door, then told me over one hundred dreamers have come by. I look around my empty library in utter disbelief, "Are you sure?!" They may not be reading much, but we find more kindred pairs by the day. It bodes well. Our wild mindscape is expanding.
