Even worse…folding the laundry and putting it away.

On Threads, King recommended starting with 11/22/63. Appropriate today, yes?

Watching QVC (no judgement please) and the hosts are all wearing “full zip wearable blanket(s).” Appalling and tempting all at the same time.

I rarely agree with the winners and most of the nominated books are so-so. Sort of like the Oscars 😂

Donna Johns @librarytwitt.bsky.social · 21/11/2024

So happy this book won!

Donna Johns @librarytwitt.bsky.social · 20/11/2024

So true! Word count isn’t everything.

Checked out Cross on Prime…wow! They have modernized the premise to include how black police deal (or not) with being considered the enemy in their own communities.

Thank you, Merry Sunshine, for a great list!

Another part is the current emphasis on reading levels determining what a child should read. Reading above your level builds vocabulary and understanding complexity.

I directed a community theater production. The blocking was a nightmare but the final result was worth it.

Just read about Svalbard in turning to Stone (Bjornarud)! Fascinating and beautiful place…

Donna Johns @librarytwitt.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

Still reading Sweetgrass but the pecan tree essay about the trees somehow communicating connected with the way the Earth, in constant motion, is somehow coordinating geologic processes. Lots going on around us!

Braiding Sweetgrass (Kimmerer) and Turning to Stone (Bjornerud). Botany and geology! Highly recommend both.
