Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I'll say this for Brazor: he's no coward. Not that he could afford to be with Ming right there, but I get the feeling that he'd lead the defense even if Ming wasn't there. 111
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Is Ming actually giving this guy advice? He must see something in him. 221
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Mission control is a good role for Dale in an operation like this. I just worry about her hanging back alone. This is Mongo, and we don't know what might be down there. 140
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 29/09/2026We've met lackeys, we've met patsies, we've even met sycophants, and now we meet a fan boy. 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Wait. Wait. WAIT. Why do I think I see a plot line here? Adrane's a contender for the throne if something happens/seems to happen to Vultan. Why do I see her dodging assassins while having to either take on the mantle or find a new monarch? Why do I see Bok putting his bodyguard skills to work? 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 28/09/2026It also makes her a foil for Adrane, who is the closest thing Vultan has to an heir. Desira has the legitimacy and the desire, but currently lacks the skill. It's the reverse for Adrane. 120
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 28/09/2026I love how Desira is so out of place in a way that makes perfect sense. She's royalty so she's not like the normal ("normal") people, but her rearing was messed up and her training disrupted so she's not like the other royals we've met. 120
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 27/09/2026The thesis of the strip, delivered pretty early on. 140
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 27/09/2026His charisma is his super power! I'm glad he only uses it for good. 140
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 25/09/2026She wants to be a player? Well I'm sure Dr. Zarkov would be happy to give her a few pointers OH WAIT she means POLITICALLY. In that case, she needs the other royals. Jugrid and Dovana are the best picks, because they basically had to learn from scratch too. They could best help with the adjustment. 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 25/09/2026That's either him or someone did an incredible job mimicking his art style. 010
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 25/09/2026That really sucks for Adrane. She had a lead, and now Vultan could be anywhere on (well, over) Mongo. 000
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 24/09/2026She's not wrong! I don't know how much she actually knows about ruling, but she's well aware of the dangers. 130
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Interesting. Thanks for the answer! I'd say you succeeded. 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Also, nice touch with the Tropicans' eyes. What made you decide to do that? 120
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 23/09/2026Bok is really facing his past, isn't he? Good thing he has all that support. I think he's going to need it. Which is not as much as Desira seems to need Queen lessons from Aura and Fria. If that is not an act...! 110
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 22/09/2026I'm assuming those houses have escape tunnels just in case. They look amazing, though! The black panel to represent the blindfolding was a great touch. 120
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 19/09/2026So the Tropicans know more about the main continent than the reverse? Interesting. And I'm looking forward to your take on Gundar. I was not expecting him here. 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 19/09/2026These don't look like Brazor's troops. I think we've found the Resistance! Or, more accurately, the Resistance found them. 000
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 16/09/2026So this version of Brazor has already made his power play. Successfully, too. Which means Desira is leading the resistance. But why didn't Bok mention her? There's a story here. 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Large things in this strip rarely bode well for someone, and it's usually our heroes. Why do I think a huge chase/fight is forthcoming? 010
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 15/09/2026That's a good way to handle Bok's trauma. He hasn't had a lot of choices in his life. He deserves to make his own, even if they're mistakes. Let his friends have his back when and if he needs it. 030
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I'm sorry. Did you say that the Flash/Ming feud ESCALATES? There's still room for that? Somebody's gonna die, aren't they? 130
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Discovered already? That was fast. These people are competent. 011
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 11/09/2026"The Skeletal Sands"? Oh, we're jumping right into it, aren't we? 010
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I love the composition of this series of panels. I also find the decision to not reveal the gun's abilities... intriguing. 030
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Now he just needs to fix his knees so he can catch up with them. What if they run into some older female scientists? They'll need his brand of diplomacy! Seriously, though, this is great. It keeps him in the story while otherwise absent, and it shows how serious things are if Flash needs a ray gun. 150
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 08/09/2026No Dr. Zarkov? That's too bad. But Adrane is making sure that she and Bok get their exercise in before the mission, which is very considerate of her! 050
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Do Dexter and Sinister have the same double meanings on Mongo as on Earth? If so, then Aura is really emphasizing the forgiveness angle. Which is smart. 010
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I hope that we see him again someday, and that he eventually meets his family again. And yes, Dale, we all missed you! 070
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 05/09/2026Thanks! I remembered because it was the first mention of Tropica in your strip, and because LST was special. I love stories where we get to see the lead/s through other people's eyes. 020
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 05/09/2026I can't wait! It will be interesting to see the one place on (known?) Mongo that didn't fall. And why Ming didn't force the issue. And wasn't Hyrex a veteran of the Tropica campaign? 120
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 05/09/2026On Mongo as on Earth, the reward for good work is more work! Very interested in seeing your take on Tropica. And, of course, Queen Desira. 120
Evan Tarlton @libraryguy09.bsky.social · 04/09/2026Congratulations! Thank you so much for your hard work! Here's to thousands more! 110
