Why are so many colleagues unable to keep to the 10 minute appointments at parents evening? It causes all of us to run late and makes the evening longer than it already is. If you need to talk for longer, arrange another meeting or a telephone follow up... 🤬

Head of Art told me today that he's retiring at Xmas. Knew it was coming but had hoped for another year or 2. Gutted. As well as being a superb teacher, he's someone I always ran ideas past. Never a "yes man" & never shy to give me constructive criticism. I'll really miss him.

Found out I won’t have a tutor group next academic year (middle leaders are given a “year off” in rotation at our school). I’ve never not had a TG. Whilst the extra time will be lovely, I think I’ll miss it - will certainly feel strange for sure…
