Saw them early 00s but, two hours and two encores into their set last night, I had to walk out on Sunn O)))--it's a compliment, it was totally overwhelming. (Someone had a seizure, also.) Hard to believe they are in their 30th year. May be a one trick 1/3

Reminder to vote, VA! Early voting is open. I voted yesterday--no one was in line, it was a breeze. I locked in the amazing Beth Macy for the 6th district (we MAY be on the verge of a historical upset!!) and I registered my support for reproductive 1/2

Just started it, and wow. I think I have a deep intuitive affinity for this central thesis, though I know next to nothing about math. Already getting a strong sense for the deep, profound philosophical differences btw him and LaMonte...they couldn't be much different!

You know you’ve failed as a society when there are people who think (good faith?) that Smashing Pumpkins is better than #SonicYouth. #FightMe

Looking for a few unique/rare images (if possible) of the #NoFunFest days (Carlos Giffoni!) 2004--2009 to accompany my piece for Frans de Waard's next Annual publication (collection of essays) on his fantastic #KORMplastics imprint...

If you need something to watch. I had kinda forgotten about this, since seeing it when it released in 2013. And, seeing remaining band members perform, at Knitting Factory, with Dave Nuss and NNCK...wild. Free, for now

RIP/P Chris Phinney aka Mental Anguish, and Harsh Reality tape label. I have an ever-deepening respect, the older I get, for those who do these things in places well off the beaten paths (nyc/chi/LA).

Rrest in Peace Power #MikelDimmick. I first saw #Pelt in the late 90s, either at #TransmissionsFest (NC) or at GO! Rehearsal Studios. The GO! show was seemingly like 4hrs long, featured multiple Dream Machines (well at least one), and utterly rewired my brain for DRONE. thank you. #SpiralJoyBand

Correlation is not causality but I'd like to posit causality here: DT shows up at your event vs. Wu-Tang Clan shows up at your event. Mind still spinning, I can not process what I hath seen with mine own eyes. The ultimate case study in "grit", and simply, never giving up, cliche as it might be. DAMN

PSA: reminder to be alert to deer out (t)here. I was on 64W coming home yesterday, broad daylight, and encountered one moving very slowly across the lanes--had to brake hard--luckily, no strike. It would have been VERY BAD at ~75mph, YIKES. Very be careful

Just learned of this guy, and started those two books about him, around a year ago, as he was becoming somewhat above-ground, again after many years. Fascinating guy; all you in my radical art/culture, and/or radical politics (which should not be separate-- www.nytimes.com/2026/05/26/u...
