Liam Deane @liamdeane.bsky.social · 07/08/2026One time when I was like 8 an elderly neighbour gave me £5 and fondly told me not to spend it all in one shop and I immediately went and spent it all at once on sweets and she found out and got really upset that I had spent it all in one shop, in violation of her express wishes 120

Liam Deane @liamdeane.bsky.social · 05/12/2025Such a horror to use a slightly aging device with a micro USB port. All that fiddling about, feeling like something is about to snap off at any moment. How did we live like this? 010
Liam Deane @liamdeane.bsky.social · 03/12/2025Spotify Wrapped has been a malign influence on the world in so many ways but the worst is definitely establishing the practice of doing "end of year" lists in early December. 130

Liam Deane @liamdeane.bsky.social · 19/11/2025It's annoying how long it takes to make TV these days but the complete collapse in quality of The Bear is a very strong argument for taking your time. 010

Liam Deane @liamdeane.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Including some of my thoughts on the Xbox thoughts on the Xbox profitability story. Liam Deane @liamdeane.bsky.social · 23/10/2025Is the games industry profitable? Yes, and has been throughout the entire recent layoff wave. But profit margins did slide dramatically post-covid as costs shot up but revenue didn't keep pace. Margins have recovered since then, mostly thanks to reduced personnel costs. 132
