Is social media a public good? Private companies can own infrastructure but it does not work out too well. I suspect that we thought about it we'd find--yes.

True, and even if it did dissappear, £60 a month is worth it. It only sounds high if you don't reflect on the cost of *not* having net zero.

£ 736 is the "true cost" of Milliband's Net zero proposal to each Briton per year. (approx) £ 300 Billion/68 million Britons = 4411 per person. £ 4411/6 years = £ 736/per year £ 1 B of public expenditure is £ 14 per briton or £ 22 per taxpayer. About the cost of a main and a pint at a pub.

Make Europe Great Again abbreviates to MEGA. MEGA > MAGA Its time for Europe to prepare to go its own road and lead, and I think we will see this being charted more seriously in European new media. Both Unherd and Brave New Europe are worth looking at.

Good science on the degree of future climate chaos is already here, but by *hard evidence*, I mean actual weather. The future is always more extreme than the present and so our projections about the danger we face will never be backed by experience, until its too late.

Thus in order to sway opinions on on issues where the evidence changes slowly, we have to be solid on issues where evidence changes quickly.

This is important for other issues like climate because climate is a hard issue to build one's credibility on -- concrete evidence (death weather) comes slowly and it is too late by the time evidence about the *degree* of danger arrives.

If we want to build a left new media with credibiity, one simple things is do not bow to MSM when they are wrong and distance yourself. Example: most currently popular left podcasters disagreed with the narrative around Russian election interference in some way.
