Flags

Flags are by definition political, and politics are by definition controversial. Many flags are also subject to trademark protection. Symbols & Iconography

Partners will need to take care that the symbols or numbers that they’re using are appropriate. Take note of things like coats of arms, skulls, or historical icons. We sometimes see accidental swastikas, but often the examples are less apparent, such as joining a lightning bolt next to another and ending up with the Nazi SS flag. Take additional care with elements and symbols that users can manipulate.
